Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I tried this mode at BB and was consistently inaccurate, but I know why. BB tv's are Sony and do not have Game Mode which creates a lag in response time.
My question from experience in PP is that in relation to meter pitching how does the velocity vary in relation to arm speed while trying to be deceptive?
What I mean is that on meter I used to tap the X button and release it at the velocity I wanted to throw it at and once I released it the pitcher would still go through his normal delivery with the same arm action. I was nasty with the changeup in mixing up my speeds.
Can anyone elaborate on this in PP.

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
On the Vita I find it nearly impossible to get the circle at its smallest point but on the PS3 I was much more successful. I may use it on the PS3 but will go back to meter pitching on the Vita.ESPN NFL 2K5 GREATEST FOOTBALL GAME EVER!

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I liked it its really tough, played a full game with it .walked 6 K'd 6 with latos, and bray and chapman for reds, latos threw 101 pitches thru 7 but had all 6 walks...fun game lost 8-4 tons of new animations. the whole focus of pitcher batter in cutscenes back in forth! love it!gonna take a lot of practice but definatley liked itforgive my spelling I went to the 5th grade is all

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I like PP but I have trouble getting the circle down to it's smallest point, I was using Halladay on All-star, first time every pitching on All-star and with PP so that could be a reason why. I have game mode enabled so hopefully it's not my tv. I think the key to PP is you can't try and paint the corners like you can with analog because of the whole timing aspect of PP. Some pitches will be out over the plate but as you mix speed and location, the chances diminish for those pitches being hit hard. I remember Halladays no-hitter against the reds in the playoffs, when he was hitting the corners consistently and nearly every pitch, which is a rare occurence and is why he pitched a no-hitter and dominated. So PP is really reflective of reality when it comes to pitching in that aspect, however I find this year it is harder to locate with analog and I'm a fan of user control, so I prefer that option. But PP is a great option as well, I just don't prefer it.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I don't love pulse pitching, I LOVE IT! Meter would always put me to sleep and I knew I could usually get it "perfect" when I needed it. With PP I know the difference between a front end starter and a fringe MRP on my team. I am throwing more pitches (more balls) getting deeper counts and having to really "manage" my bull pen.
I wish there was a way to determine how hard I can throw. That "other game" has "overthrows" and "maximum effort". I wish there was something like that we could do with the buttons.Moderator

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
Well, I was giving Pulse a shot and enjoying it immensely. It took me a while to realize that the circle size and speed differs with each invididual pitch. I thought it was only by the pitcher.
But, then some of you started talking about headaches and I must be really open to suggestion because, now I'm freaking out with Pulse because I'm scared to get a headache and even more scared of getting a seizure.
So, I'm going back to Classic. I think the same effects are there but without the graphics. Better pitchers have better control, etcComment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I really like Pulse Pitching, but I think it could use some tweaking. It's a little frustrating when you finally time one perfectly and it still doesn't go close to where you want it to go. I'm guessing this is where the ratings come into play but I think it could use a little nudging in the direction of player input. At times it almost feels random, or maybe more accurately, like I can only make bad pitches and not good ones.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I tried it with Halladay for a few innings and didn't like it. Someone of his caliber, I should have a bit more control than that. I may come back to it, but I'm afraid if I'm pitching with my #4 or #5 pitcher, he'll just be all over the place. I could understand that a few innings into the game, but I should have control at some point, especially early on with little to no fatigue.
Doesn't help that I'm used to the regular pitching since I played MVP for ages. Start pitch, pick power, pick accuracy. Just works for me.Comment
