Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?

I love that it builds in some doubt. However, sometimes the pulse just freezes me.

IMO, being able to pinpoint pitches all the time is unrealistic.

Played a few more exhibition games last nite using PP and still on the fence on whether i like it or not...Time for Round 3 today...

This has happened to me. In my RTTS game, I had the bases loaded w/2 outs and a 2 run lead in the 4th, and that AB took me almost as long as the rest of the inning did.

Funny you mention that... Sometimes I have to look away and start counting again... The angst involved at times reminds me of that SouthPark where the video game programmers were hypnotizing the kids... The Pulsing sometimes just locks me up.

If thats why you like PP, you should try "Classic"

IMO pulse is an updated (better) classic. By that I mean a bit more user input over classic.
I use pulse over analog because I feel analog is more me than the pitchers ratings. Jnless theres something I'm missing about analog.

Until the user has the ability to have an input with effort, its not at that level yet imo.

Thats what I like about it, too. I'm in control, but not too much control. Its what I really love about this game in all aspects. I'm obviously in control, but the game keeps me from really screwing things up.

I Try to move my finger up and down with the pulsating circle as a timing mechanism...it seems to work for me so far.

You know, here I am messing with sliders for my Analog pitching... Maybe I should throw a game or two with the Pitching set at Legend..

Never even gave that a thought..

Will try out tonight for accuracy testing.

What happened to effort being tied into the speed of the analog stick going forwards?

Last I recall they chose that over the method I suggested with it being analog sensitive to the pull back.

They are talking about Pulse Pitching, which as of now, has no effort input. You press the button, and the pitcher's rating take over.

I am still trying to figure out the Effort with regards to the push forward motion on the Analog pitches..

I see the colors flash, but honestly, it seems more random to me, as I try to ease a 2-seamer into the zone with minimal effort pushing forward, and I still get the red flash...

Need to practice with the same pitchers, and throwing 10 fastballs with different stick pushes.

Also need to learn if the timing of hitting the yellow line has anything to do with effort, or simply the up and down axis of aiming..

Someday, there will be a manual that states how some of this stuff works.

Well I know that. Simple misunderstanding - Sky mentioned analog more so than asked if he was missing something about analog.

Not a fan.

To distracting for me. And it takes too long. You sit and time and get into a rhythm...I understand the approach and it is a cool enhancment to add a layer of difficulty to Classic Pitching.

It is just not for me.

SCEA is outstanding in keeping all the different control options for all different kinds of video baseball gamers. I am so thankful for that.
