Whats the bug? Misplayed ball scored as a hit.

What game mode did you experience the bug/glitch in? (Gameplay, RTTS, Franchise, Online, Front End, etc.....) Exhibition

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? Line drive to right field. Fielder had time. I didn't get the fielder perfectly in the middle of the catch circle (the baseball catch region). This led to an animation where the fielder completely whiffed on the catch leading to Jemile Weeks going to 3rd and a run scoring. However, instead of an error being scored to the RF, a base hit was given to Weeks. RBI was likely credited as well.

How often can the bug be reproduced? Not sure.

Thats not an error so the game is correct for crediting the batter with a hit.

Persistant freezing is more then likely a hardware issue. Try rebuilding the PS3 database and file system.

my teammate hit a double to RF line with no out(s) then advanced to 3rd on a grounder to first then I hit a towering shot to left that hooked just fouled but then the LF caught it. Runner advanced home which I supposed to be credited with an RBI, but was not..

An advertised feature of the game Online Home Run Derby is not actually in the game. Pretty big bug/glitch IMO.

Whats the bug?

CPU has a runner on first against me, and hits a long drive into deep right center field. The runner on first goes three quarters of the way, and the ball drops for a hit, off the track and up against the wall. The lead runner goes to third like he should, but the batter stays at first when he clearly should have had a double. I watched the replay and the batter went into an animation that had him sort of coasting into first base, as if it were just a single, but for whatever reason he didn't advance like he should have.

This was in franchise mode during a spring training game.

I don't know, this is the first time I've seen it.

I could be wrong but i don't think the Pitch Delay feature is working correctly.

I always play on Slower and have been so far this year but thought the pitcher really seemed faster than previous years, so I tried it on Normal and even on Fast and there was literally no difference that I could really tell between the two extremes of Fast and Slowest.

Like I said I could be wrong but the Slowest setting is nowhere near as slow paced and relaxed a setting (which is why I like it) than it has been in the past.

Perhaps worth checking it's turned on/tuned correctly I don't know, but thought it worth throwing out there.

You are 100% correct. I posted about this as well. I actually just tried it on faster today to see if it was different than Slower and Normal (btw those were the exact same speed because I timed them). Well the faster setting wasn't any faster or slower than the other two options. So in other words that gameplay pitching option is just completely not working correctly. Hopefully this gets fixed because besides the Minny and Paul sign not lighting up it's truly the only thing bringing this game down for me right now.

League Leaders in Slugging % OSD appearing inappropriately. It appears when e.g. Derek Jeter is at bat but he is not on the list and wouldn't be a leader in this category. Good OSD though if it appeared at appropriate time.

About 3 weeks in to franchise started randomly appearing while Yanks at bat.

Whats the bug? Ball hitting fielder and falling to the floor without fielder ever moving or reaching for the ball.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? I ran towards the ball to field it. It happened twice; once in the outfield on a fly ball, and the other time on a bouncing line drive chopper thingy. In the latter case, the ball bounced into my fielder, fell on the floor and my fielder kept running on his path without making any attempt to field. The fly ball should be self explanatory

How often can the bug be reproduced? Shouldn't be too hard, I think it has to do with the angle that you approach the ball.

Do you have video or pictures? I don't sadly. They were all the way in the 1st and 3rd inning, and by the time I got to the 9th I forgot, and I just remembered now.

Whats the bug? Botched double play scored as an error; MLB rules dictate that if no additional bases are gained, you can't assume the double play.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? Out at second was successful, but the throw to 1st was in the dirt and pulled the basemen off the bag. It should be scored a fielder's choice/force out, as the man on 1st stayed on 1st, and you can't assume a second (or third) out at any time, according to MLB rules.

How often can the bug be reproduced? Turn errors all the way up and walk dudes, then switch controllers. Only way I can think of to speed up the re-occurrence process.

Playing against Cincy at Great American Ballpark - the lineup display on the jumbo for the batting team is messed up. It shows the positions for the first three batters but 0 for the other six. As the lineup progresses, the positions change for those first three. It appears to be showing them as the fielding team's is shown (the next three due for their inning).

Below is an example (Reds lineup as shown while they're batting)
2B - Phillips
SS - Cozart
1B - Votto
RF - Bruce (4 through 9 show as 0 )
3B - Rolen
LF - Ludwick
CF - Stubbs
C - Hanigan
P - Pitcher (Arroyo in my case)

After Phillips has batted, it shows the positions for Phillips, Cozart & Votto as SS, 1B and RF respectively.

How often?
Any game at GABP

My relief pitcher struck out a batter (entered in 7th) for the 2nd out of the 7th, then they mentioned that he had retired 15 straight batters (obviously wrong and it counted those from the SP ).

Playing the third game of spring training with the Tigers, and I'm switching teams back and forth so that I am always hitting, as I was testing out some slider settings. Doug Fister started for the Tigers, pitched five innings of decent ball, gave up a few runs. He gets pulled for Justin Verlander, who pitched the first game of spring training.

Like I say I was testing out different sliders, switching back and forth between teams, and ended up putting up 16 runs for the Tigers through five innings. Maybe that had something to do with it, I don't know.

Right fielders throw you out at first base a very high % of time after you hit hard line drives directly at them.

When you hit a hard line drive to right fielders.

Already seen this happen so many times. It probably happens in real baseball 0.001% percent of the time.

Whats the bug? The Batter Analysis screen does not show the correct types of pitches that were actually thrown. Most of the time, the X pitch will be recorded correctly, but the other pitches, such as Square, Triangle, and R1 are always recorded as a different type of pitch. It's hard to show in words or pictures, so I made a video where I demonstrate exactly what's wrong. Note that the Pitcher Analysis screen records pitch types 100% correctly; it's only the Batter Analysis screen that's messed up.

In addition to this, when you first start a game, the Batter Analysis screen shows pitches that don't even belong to the pitcher. You have to go to the Pitcher Analysis screen and then back to the Batter Analysis screen, and then the Batter Analysis screen will finally show the pitcher's correct repertoire of pitches. Regardless, the pitch types will still be recorded incorrectly even after you fix the repertoire that's displayed in Batter Analysis. I demonstrate this in the video as well, and from my experience, it's always the same incorrect repertoire of pitches that is displayed in Batter Analysis until you fix it. EDIT/CORRECTION: The incorrect repertoire isn't ALWAYS the same. It's actually ALWAYS the repertoire of the road team's #1 starter. So if it's a game of Phillies @ Cubs with Blanton (#5 starter) against Dempster (#2 starter), the pitch types initially displayed in Batter Analysis will be those of Roy Halladay (road team's #1 starter) until you view the Pitcher Analysis screen one time to fix the glitch. The 2nd, 3rd, and especially 4th videos explain this more.

However, if you fix the opposing pitcher's displayed repertoire in Batter Analysis (by viewing his Pitcher Analysis while you're batting in the previous half-inning) before you even view your own Batter Analysis (while pitching), it will be the opposing pitcher's repertoire that you see as the "screwed up" repertoire in your own Batter Analysis until you fix it. In the context of my video, if I would have viewed opposing pitcher Clayton Richard's Pitcher Analysis in the first half-inning, then when I got to the point where the video started, the incorrectly displayed repertoire in my Batter Analysis would have been Clayton Richard's repertoire rather than the one shown in the video. Please feel free to contact me if you need me to explain this further. I hope I've covered everything. Pay special attention to the fourth and final video that I posted below because it really explains this part of the glitch in detail.
