So is it actually possible to change positions in this? I'm a first baseman with the Reds and for some reason this offseason they went out and signed Paul Konerko to a big free agent deal. We're getting almost no production out of shortstop, but every time I asked to be moved there the manager says no, maybe in the future, etc. I've been upping my appropriate fielding ratings to the point where I'd be acceptable I think, but I thought I'd ask here first in case I have no chance of ever moving from first and go on wasting on training points on arm accuracy.Comment

Made a power hitting 3B who was drafted by the Nationals. Traded to the Blue Jays where I've been ever since and it is currently May 2014. He's the #1 rated in the nation (i'm new to the game so have the settings turned down) but i'm getting tired of the game already.
There are far too many diving catches (I have all the sliders at minimum - god help me if they were at default) in the game. I expect a few every day across MLB but i'm seeing highlight reel stuff nearly every game on my hits alone.
And don't get me started on hitting the pitcher - once, just once i'd like to see him get injured and not immediately sprint after the ball and throw me out at first. I've even seen a few run to 1B to catch me out when the ball has ricocheted to the first base man

I quickly got tired of my power hitting 1b/3b once I reached the Show....I was traded to the White Sox and brought up, the first series I played was against the Tigers...first of all it might just be something that happens when you play as a 1b but there is waaayyyyy too much bunting....that brings me back to the Detroit series...the thing that really set me over the top was in the bottom of the 8th inning the Tigers were down 2 runs.
Anyways, so they get runners on the corners with no outs and in steps Miguel Cabrera..suddenly Im simmed to my next appearance on the field and Im like sweet here comes a ground ball double play...no. Cabrera bunts and ends up pooping it up for an out. So 1 out. I casually just said whatever...next batter was Fielder and again I was brought in so I though again ok, double play time. No. Fielder bunts. BUNTS. And once again pops it up for another out. I quit the game after that.
So now I have a new Closer, a right handed side-arm with a 2fb, Cchg, and a slider. Dominated AA and was quickly called up to AAA where I have gotten roughed up pretty bad after a couple of appearances.Comment

CF, spent 2012 season in AA, called up to AAA for 2013..
2013 Stats: .357 Avg, 23 HR, 93 RBI through 101 games, still cant get the call up though!!

After 5 looooong years in KC we finally made the wild card.
Unfortunately, I broke my wrist the second to last game of the season and had to watch my team get swept in the first round.
Off season trade to the Marlins (who happen to be the defending world champs)!

Started with a pitcher and my career quickly went downhill.
I made two starts in AA, both of which were complete game shutouts. In my first game I struckout 14 and fanned 12 in the second while giving up a combined 8 hits. Pretty awesome right?
Wrong! Worst thing I could have done because the genius Athletics decided to accelerate my career and move me up to AAA after those two starts. They put me in the bullpen and after one month my ERA sits at a comfortable 6.85.
Then I got traded to Boston. Boston....I hate Boston! So I simmed the rest of the year and much to my chagrin I discovered that if you simulate your appearances you don't get too many training points. I know what you are thinking, why not just reload? The game autosaves after the training games and I did one in the last week of the season.
First year has been almost a complete waste and now I am stuck on one of my most hated teams

I am currently working on my 1B drafted by the Indians. I have dominated AA. I have 32 HR 101 RBI and a .427 BA. My team the Aeros are on top of our division. I am yet to get called up and it doesn't make any sense why I haven't been called up because in real life I might be in the majors by where I am In the season right nowComment

So I made a 2B and got drafted by the Pirates and I said ehh whatever I'll get traded. No, I was stuck there for 6 years finally I got to Texas won two WS and now I'm in Miami.
I also made a pitcher who was drafted by Miami and after 2 starts in AA he was moved to AAA and I won 16 games then got traded to the Mariners... and didn't get called up. But, in August of the 2013 season I was called up and NO RUN SUPPORT AT ALL...AAA Red Wings could probably beat the Twins right now...Comment
