Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

This is frustrating. I have 99 control on two of my pitches and yet it feels no different than when I had 50 control. Full confidence and I can't throw a strike to save my life here. What's the point in being a control pitcher and I can't paint corners at least 30 percent of the time. Just seems random. I've tried all the pitching types. pp,analog,meter... I want some control here without having to adjust sliders.

I don't want 100 percent perfection hitting the corners every time but a few times would be nice. any tips?

also, how it always seems im pitching vs someone who is throwing a no hitter? can I get some run support? or some hits? 1.50 era and i'm 2-6... and its because of no support and errors that dont count as errors, you know what I mean, those crazy outfielders trying to dive for no reason instead of just limiting bases.

haha I love dis game though

Wanna know how to make a person cry? Present them with an ice-cold player with advancement goals of hitting 2 HR's and driving in 9 runs. Last 2 weeks, and I accomplished these two goals. Lucky me. Also, I got promoted to AAA. Normally, this would be fantastic, but I'm cold, so its not so fantastic. Thankfully, I have good goals. Draw one walk, and have a fielding percentage of .990 or higher. If I sim over my fielding opportunities, will I still get this goal?

^ Yes as long as when you sim the cpu makes good plays on the field you should pass that goal.

As for me it's been a rollercoaster so far, started my first game 3-3 with 2 rbis. 2nd game went 1-3..
about 2 weeks later i get called up with a .435 average 2 homeruns and 18 rbis. First game of AAA I go 3/4 with a homer and 3 rbis. Next game i go 0-6....yes..0/6! ever since that game i went cold, i'm literally like 15/40 right now when i started 9/20 in my first week
Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather.

Do any of you guys play with Game Watch set to All Pitches? I want to, but it takes so long between at bats that I can't really get into a rhythm. When I do finally get up to bat I am all anxious and swing at everything.

^How do you break a collarbone swinging and missing on a fastball? Did the ball hit it?
My AA season, I had an average of .260. -_-
              Time for AAA...

I wanna start RTTS, but should I wait until the OSFM or what(I'm waiting for it for franchise).

I'm not gonna restart RTTS once I start playing, so if I start playing before the OSFM comes out, I'm not starting over once they come out.

Power 1B drafted by the Cubs.

Start hitting solidly at around a .260 and get traded to the Red Sox after requesting a trade.

                  It's August 9th 2012 and I'm 86GP 363AB .262AVG 95H 42R 132B 13B 17HR 62RBI

                        No, that's just a special in-game goal.

Can anyone actually have a good average using timing hitting and no guess pitch in RTTS?

I know my guy isn't the best with a C overall and a C contact but pitchers with no contact at all are hitting as well as me. I can barely keep my average over .200. Its not that I suck at hitting. I can pick the ball up really well and draw walks. And the majority of the time I get good at bats and swing at good pitches but I can't for the life of me gets hits.

I actually started on hall of fame as I was picking the ball up and making good swings after going 0-20 I had to drop it down to all star. And even that's a struggle.
Anyone else running into this problem?

All star on this game is like HOF on last years game, veteran is like all star on last years game. And also, i recomend swithcing to zone hitting, i've always used timing, but after switching to zone, i've hit a lot better, it really helps, because you can decide where the ball is actually gonna go.

Ya, but I hate having to move the PCI. My brain can't move the PCI and decided if its a ball or strike at the same time lol.
