Even when the lag isn't unbearable, the hitting is so weak. The ball comes off the bat with no pop.

Maybe you're not hitting it solidly ?

This game is awesome, RTTS , Season ect but I wont play another game online, too much lag, the hitting is bad, overall experience 1 to 10 it is a 5 at best , IMO

Online is fine for me. First day was bad but ever since ive had a great connection. Just play OS people if you dont want people stealing non stop and being cheesey

All three of my games have been smooth with minimal lag. I'm also on a wireless connection. I've been very satisfied so far and hopeful it continues.

Just pitched a perfect game vs. the Brewers with Brandon Morrow. Only run I got was a Colby Rasmus HR, and I FINALLY pulled one for a Homer! The camera for that is SICK. Too much fun man.

Played my annual one online game of the Show. Terrible experience. Lag was awful, with the ball and bat disappearing on me frequently. It didn't help that I played a cheezer, running every chance he got, and there was nothing I could do about it. When he stole third with Nick Swisher, I had had enough. I'll just go back to the fabulous offline experience. This game is top notch, but the online play is ridiculously bad. Seeing as I've experienced seemless gameplay on other sports titles on older generation consoles over the last ten years or so, it's puzzling why The Show is so bad online every year. My only answer is the other guy was using dial-up. I guess I should give it another try before writing off the whole online portion of the game.

lol dial up, not possible to get online if on dial up. Play someone from OS, otherwise you open yourself to these tactics and if played so many years online you should know this. Older generations had no where near the amount of detail and information these games nowadays have, which also plays a role in online stability.

Good point about the amount of detail in current titles. It's just that of all of the types of games that can't have serious lag, it's baseball. It's all timing. As far as the cheezers, that's my problem I have to deal with. I'm not much of an online gamer, but I usually play a few times with whatever title I get.

One thing that would help clear up a lot of lag, would be removing some of those details from online. I dunno if that would mean creating a whole new set of stadiums, but it would help. Play at a spring training or minor league park that doesn't have all the animations going on in the outfield scoreboards/fans and you'll notice a smoother game.

Ive now played a total of 4 games online. 3 against OS members and I have had a great experience. I think a lot of people are over exagerating their "bad" experiences

Just played my first online game vs. fellow OS'er FlightWhite. Game was smooth as silk from beginning to end.

It's the first time in all my years of playing the Show I have had anything even close to a lag free game online.

I can t even get online, it's saying my online pass is invalid, maybe it has something to do with me being in Australia but suely it still should work

I believe you need an US PSN account to play online. Ask the guys from Europe they'll know and I am sure they can help you set up an US PSN account if that is indeed the solution:

Cheers mate , it's strange though I have always been able to get online and download rosters and sliders from the vault in previous Show editions , it is just this year that I cant access it.

Cheers . Well this is the first time that they had an online pass iirc so maybe that's why you need to have an US account. Not sure though.
