Just switched to Zone from Zone Plus Analog. I find both work good, but sometimes switching the power/normal/contact swing before every pitch on ZPA gets a little tedious in a full game. In Zone it's one less thing to remember since you swing with the actual buttons.

It takes some time in Zone, though, to move that PCI before hitting the swing button. I would say I still fail to move the PCI maybe 20% of the time. It's so easy to hit the button a fraction of a second earlier than moving the left stick.

I also find check swings easier or more forgiving on Zone Plus (because of the stride obviously).

Disagree with your timing statements. I see all types of hits using timed hitting and not in the same parts of the field.

I'm sticking with zone this year for sure. But I've got a question that applies to all hitting modes.

What is your strategy for laying off low pitches and sliders running out of the zone? I get SO unbelievably frustrated with the hitting in this game but not because of the game itself, simply because I CANNOT lay off enough pitches. I've tried and tried, but I always swing at balls out of the zone and strike out.

My biggest problem is seeing pitches that are going to break out of the zone.

I have the same struggle. I'd love to hear if anybody has a solution for this.
