    Your setting for pitch speed

I don't know if it's just that I haven't played MLB the show for a while or if the default pitch speed is faster this year but for the life of me I am having problems hitting pitchers that bring the cheddar! I am going to leave it at default 5 and try to get my eye for pitches back but I am curious to what setting you guys have it at as of now.

I switched my speed down to 3 and just beat the Rays with the Jays. Encarnacion went 4-4 with 3 doubles and a homerun. Hopefully my slider tweaks will stop here.

Is there any way we can sticky this poll? It seems as if the default pitch speed may need to be tweaked just a touch, as the majority of the community lowers the setting. This could help them maybe when they are patching.

I have mine on 3. I tried it out on the batting practice stuff and on 4, it's either perfect or late timing(usually late) on 3 its early or good/perfect

I think the default pitch speed is more real to life, it is just really that hard to hit a baseball coming in at 98 mph. I do not believe the speed needs to be played with at all, we can just adjust to our individual skill set.

4 is working pretty good for me. Then again, I've never had trouble hitting in the series like some have.

On this topic, I remember nemesis pointing out at CD that at default pitch speed the fastball is still slower than real life...I'll see if I can find it.

Of course, I have a hard enough time hitting at default...I wouldn't turn that slider up unless I was watching the CPU play (for aesthetic value).

I don't know if it's a pride thing but I just try my hardest to not lower it from 5, lol.

I remember this as well. That's why they say hitting a baseball is probably the hardest thing to do in all of sports.

I had ur attitude every year cause somehow i'd feel less of a man if i lowered the pitch speed...And it was gettin me nowhere so this year i set it at 4 and i see a considerable effect in my batting....I'm able to pick up the ball a smidge quicker thus puttin the ball into play more often...Still nowhere near solid as i have the most trouble against the Verlander, Strasburg-types but i can honestly say i'm enjoying hitting more often and actually lookin forward to it instead of dreading it...I will be leaving it at 4 for the considerable future

Glad to hear you finally got a speed that works for you - I know you've been waiting a long time.

Michael Jordan proved that! He couldn't even hit single A ball.

I started at 5(default) and 1st game 1st inning I walk a few times, get a few hits including a 1st pitch HR by David Wright. Scored 3 runs in the 1st inning and thought I'm liking this but rest of the game no offense whatsoever. A few more games and no offense I gradually lowered it and eventually down to 2. Now 2 is too low for me so I'm debating between 3 or 4.

Now on the Vita...forget it! At default 5 I struck out 24 times in an 18 inning game, my 1st Vita game btw. What a way to start Vita baseball lol.

0 is definitely slower than last year and it's great for me. I don't feel frustrated anymore by it.
