Thinking the Sox might take 80 cents of the dollar to dump the salary and commitment to a guy who's had some back issues with so-so command his year. Won't be long before the Sox go rebuilding the way they're playing and the way their clubhouse chemistry is poisonedFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Unfortunately, I agree with Nofatgirlz. BOS will never rebuild in the manner I believe they should. Not this year, anyway. I just don't see that happening within that culture with a new real life GM.
Not during year one. He'd be hung.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
that trade would be like 10 cents on the dollar...even tho Buchholz isn't Mr.Perfect IRL, all u'd u want back is a 4th OF'er and a veteran RP?...Miami would fly to Boston to pick up Buchholz if they could somehow pull this offSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Any other team in baseball, out side of NYY would do exactly this.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
i dont agree with the bolded part...no team would trade a Buchholz-type for a spare outfielder and a veteran RP no matter how crazy he drives u...even a team like Pittsburgh or Oakland would have enough brains to know that they'd have to give up something of actual value to acquire Buchholz....Remember, he is actually talented and has shown it
NO TEAM would trade a Bucholtz only to recieve THAT in return. I watch him pitch often. He had LOADS and LOADS of talent. And a nasty change up (that he can even work effectively to righties! LOL!) at that.
I was commenting on BOS' disinterest in a rebuild in general, and about how fractured their clubhouse is.
I agree, that trade is so incredibly lopsided, Miami would most definitely fly there to pick up the player (as you said)!Last edited by Heroesandvillains; 05-19-2012, 11:04 AM.Comment

Would the Marlins part with Dominguez now that Hanley is playing 3B? Cishek a better option than Mujica then I guess because he carries more value. What's that guy the Marlins drafted in the 1st round last year? Jair Fernandez? Good SP upsideLast edited by Totte; 05-19-2012, 11:09 AM.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

i think the Sox would ask for Yelich 1st but yeah i dont see Dominguez being a hold-up if the Sox asked for him....i dont think Cishek is an attractive enough of a pieceSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Didn't Andrus sign a 3 year extension just a few months ago that would keep him in Texas until Profar is ready?

Hard to see Hamilton being moved within the division but package would have to be Paxton, Walker, Liddi, Wilhelmsen and something else like Gutierrez

Granted, the Show franchise you play, he won't be doping or boozing, so he'd probably sign for market value... I guess it all depends on the play of your franchise, but I just don't see Hamilton moving...especially seeing as how Texas is in win-now mode and not one of those prospects would crack their lineup or rotation, IMHO.I'm just an old guy sports gamer...Comment

I don't think any package is going to be enough, realistically -- especially within the division. The Rangers know they are going to get the probable 2012 MVP at a big discount due to his substance issues.
