Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Thanks. I think that is fair for both sides. We get an ace who is only 1 year older than Sampson, when Sampson is at least a year away. They get Spangenburg for second, while we got an A pot 18 yo 3B in the draft, who could easily move to 2B. They get Street, wo can take over closer roles right now, and they get Liriano who can become a star, the problem is we didnt have the room. With Maybin, Matt Joyce, and our 2nd round pick(a CF with great contact, I think already C overall and A potential!), he would be stuck in minors. We also add to our top ranked farm system with a B and a C. Any ideas on the prospects that the Giants should send back?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I could include a player like Rincon. He is a mid-high B 3B prospect. He's 21, and he also plays 1st. Or I could include Gyorko, he is a very high B(1 email away from an A)!Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
It's not that bad is it? They get an B++/A pot 3rd baseman(I have DH turned on for NL) and we get a shortstop. I could throw in another filer prospect if needed.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I could always throw n an arm like Volquez. He's only 28, and is doing good, but I just don't have the ability to resign hm. Almost everyone's a free agent(the once thing I don't like about game), and Mike Minor is about to become an A pot. He is ready to get the callup, so Volquez(or Richard) is movable.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Not so much a trade, but a free agent question.
I am about to start a Cubs franchise (again) and Soler is currently a FA on these rosters. I don't want to assign him to the team before I start but I don't think his 9 years/$30M deal in real life will apply well in The Show.
Should I try to just do that exact deal or maybe scale it down to like 5 years/$15M? I don't want to be cheap and sign him for like $300K even though I know the game would let me.Comment
