Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys, doing my Red Sox Franchise, wonderin what you thought of this trade.
Jon Lester 28 y/o B pot. SP
Anthony Ranaudo 22 y/o B pot. SP
Ryan Kalish 23 y/o B pot. CF
for
Jason Bay 32 y/o B pot. LF
Zack Wheeler 21 y/o A pot. SP
I struggle pitching with Lester, so I feel like hes ready to go. I need a 3rd outfielder, since Cody Ross tore his Achilles, and I think Jason Bay would work fine, and the Mets would be happy to give up his large contract. Kalish has been playing very well splitting time between AAA and MLB.
Zack Wheeler and Matt Barnes would be my future 1 and 2 starters, one Beckett leaves, and more room is cleared in the rotation.
Any help would be apreciated!
Thanks!Comment

ACMilan1999, I know you are looking for a catcher in yours. If ou included Rasmussen and Arencibia, we could have a deal. As we would need Arencibia to replace Wieters and Rasmus could be the DH or maybe replace Markakis in RF(not looking at game right now, so don't remember defensive ratings. We would like a little more to, but you get a gold glove award C who has great power and contact. Tell me what you think!Comment

The opposite of what the Sox paid for Beckett and Lowell - quality prospects. Easy answer would be Middlebrooks, Raunado and someone like Ryan Kalish. A pitcher that could likely contribute in the near future and bats that are pretty much done in the majors and ready for the show. I'd rather see Middlebrooks stay and include Bogaerts or Iglesias instead but considering the Marlins future at 3B, Matt Dominguez, isn't living up to the hype, they'd probably insist on Middlebrooks.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

The Angels could offer Garrett Richards (SP with B pot.) and Peter Bourjos/Mark Trumbo. I like Bourjos here as he could replace Ellsbury in CF if you can't afford to resign himFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ok, I'm in June of my marlins franchise. In first place at 33-15 up 7 games on the phillies. Gaby Sanchez isn't hitting the ball well at all. I'm thinking I can either move Morrison to first and grab a left fielder or just trade for a first baseman. A couple guys that come to mind are:
Chris heisy (my preference)
Adam Dunn
Mitch Moreland
Todd Frazier
Ryan ludwick
I can get all these guys for Matt Dominguez straight up except for Moreland it would take Sanchez and Dominguez. Is this realistic at all? The reds are a game out of first and rolen is out for 3 months.Comment
