Not much. It's a decent contract, not horrible. How much is his contract again? 80M, 7 years?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
yep it's 7/80M....it is very affordable in today's baseball terms hence why i think Colorado can ask for a nice package depending on how much they eatSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

from the outside looking in, i wouldn't think their THAT far away from contending.....maybe 2-3 years? and their farm system is about middle-of-the-pack if u go by: http://www.minorleagueball.com/2012/...stem-rankings-
prospects
or slacking off a bit if u go by: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index...eague-systems/Last edited by 37; 07-02-2012, 12:38 PM.Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
From that report, they say two impact prospects (Obviously Arenado and Pomeranz), and C+ guys. C+ guys aren't anything special for a farm system. If I gave up 6-7 B's, I could bolster their farm system into a top-5 one, which would enormously help out their rebuild, rather than just two good guys. Plus, I'm not making them pay for very much of their contract, so they don't have a huge financial burden.Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
yeah i wouldn't say their farm system is anything better then middle-of-the-pack at best.....The attractive contract is the #1 reason why i think the Rockies would ask quality-up front rather then stockpiling quantity...although i do understand your reasoning....i just hope they realize this is a lost year and try at it next season...wishful thinking on my part probably"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
oops..i totally didnt factor in how his contract was structured....no doubt he's not worth 20M per year especially if half of his home games are away from Coors....we'll just have to see how his situation plays outSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

View the 2020 MLB season full splits for Carlos Gonzalez of the Seattle Mariners on ESPN. Includes full stats per opponent, and home and away games.
Look at his Home/Away splits. He's ridiculous at home, but he's not all that great away."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
yep his home/away splits are indeed glaring....i believe the Rockies would be makin rash decision in gettin rid of him so soon anyway...i'd give him another year with a fully healthy Tulo and hopefully revamped pitching staff...but then again a team might not think much of his skewed numbers and give up a load for himSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah, you're right. If they were smart, they'd keep him. I mean, GM's probably look at his splits, and they're probably not impressed."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
