Smoak + Bogaerts for Sabathia is fine. To be honest, Smoak isn't an A in anyone's books, haha.

I thought that was little high for Smoak.. yeah. I did Smoak, Bogaertz and a mid B to be a little more fair (because I can't really be too realistic with a fantasy draft).
      Thanks!

Yeah you're giving up too much for CC. I'd only give up that much for him if he was putting up old CC Cy Young numbers.

It doesn't seem like he's too far in, so I'd take his stats with a grain of salt.

Yeah, exactly. I'm about 45 games in and I just got offered the trade, so I got curious about what it might take to grab him.

True, but 2-6 with a 5 ERA is a bad start for a pitcher getting up there in age and has a lot of miles on his arm. Throw in the contract and no way he's worth what they were asking for

Obviously, but he gave up (more or less) an A and two B's. Which is pretty fair, no?

                Three A's is McCutchen/Kemp territory.

I know I talked about Santana a while ago and people said to ether keep him or just see if he can improve his stats a little bit before the trade deadline. Here are his last 4 starts before the Deadline:

7/9/12- Complete game 7 hit Shutout. 3 walks 5 strike outs

                  7/18/12- 7 innings 10 hits 3ER 1 walk 2 strikeouts

                  7/23/12- 6 innings 6 hits 3ER no walks 7 strikeouts

7/28/12- Complete Game 2 Hit shutout 5 walks and 4 strikeouts

Final Stats before Deadline: 6-7 4.60 ER

Change his value a slight bit or still the same? Teams have been offering me a good amount for him. I think because he is the highest overall on my team

Better, but keep him and try to make an August deal.

his value has certainly improved with the good string of starts he's put together...what teams are in it that can use him? and what's his contract in the game?

Padres leading the West by 1.5 games. Ranked 25th in pitching but they have the best Team ERA in baseball. Doubt they will take on his type of Salary

1 year remaining 22.0Mill. Only high payroll teams can take on that kind of Payroll

yeah, you're pretty much backed into a corner when it comes to teams that can afford him....i would think the Rangers can and to a lesser extent Cards and Tigers
