Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am at the all star break and I'm the Rays. I feel that we need a SS, as Hak and Beckham are sucking it up in minors, and like Zobrist to play 2B and have Kep DH. Not by PS3 right now, but us and the Dodgers are still in it. They are looking for pitching and I thought Shields might be a good option. We won't be resigning him as I'm using the recent Sony roster update, which has the Gonzo to dodgers trade, and has Archer as an A potential. I did move almost all the prospects from Scott's roster over, so it still has same minor league players. I like Dee Gordon and since the Dodgers have moved Hanley to SS in real life, I feel Dee is expendable. Wondering who else would be in trade. I obviously like Zach Lee, but dont see them letting him go. any adgice is appreciated! Thank you!
Also if anyone has any trades for Upton and/or Farnsworth, it would be appreciated! Still looking for a young catcher of future.
I will get records in later tonight. Also stats for Gordon and Shields, also Upton and Farnsworth or any other players you guys need for advice in trade
What is Aoki worth and how willing would Milwaukee be willing to trade him? What kind of player would interest them? I don't know much about them and they are middle of the pack in their division. FWIW, Aoki is only hitting .220 and I just like his speed and platoon advantage as my line-up is filled with righties."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Thanks for response. My only question is would the Dodgers need another OF? They have Kemp, Crawford and Either, but I do have DH turned on. What you think?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Just tried to do it and saw that Dee wasn't there. I check my messages and there was a missed one. It said the White Sox and Dodgers completed a trade.
WS receive
Dee
Capuano
Dodgers receive
Hughes (LF,A pot) 23 yr old
Drew (C,A pot) 18 yrs old
Beckham 2B
So that trade won't work. Here are records:
Us (57-29)
Dodgers62-25)
White Sox44-41)
Here are stats:
Shields: 4-6 4.99 era 85k 26bb .258 avg against
Upton: .259 21 hr 48 RBI 76 hit 16sb
Farnsworth: 1-1 3.07 era .225 avg against
Dee Gordon: .268 1 hr 8 RBI 149 abs 14sb
Any advice?Comment

If I could, but its probably too unrealistic, maybe in offseason. What you think about Shields? It says the Dodgers are interested in him and Farns. I also know Reds are interested in Upton.Comment

Farnsworth would be two C's
Upton would be two B's."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Found another save from just before Dee got traded and since I'm just pretty much simming through 2012, so I can get to 2013(since 2012 is pretty much over irl), I decided to try from that one. It's 7/24, and Shields is coming over a 2 hit shutout.
Players on block(just to gauge interest, doesn't mean I want to trade all, just players that could go)
Shields: 11-6 3.88 .240
Farnsworth: 1-2 3.94 .254
Upton: .301 25 67 22sb (started after he got hot irl, so I changed Power against Righties to 88. Only stat I changed)
Joyce: .242 19 62 (Sony had him with A pot in recent update. 85 contact and 85 power against Righties. Only 60/54 against lefties)
Rodney: 1-2 3.18 23sv(A pot. Have A pot closer in minors)
Also have Scott, Pena, S Rodriguez, Ben Francisco, Brignac, and Riberts on T Block.
Standings:
Rays(us): 68-29
Dodgers:67-31(14.5 games up in division. Kershaw has a 13-1 rec with 1.91 era, he is leading Cy young. Besides him, LAD staff is just OK. Beckett is their next best, with an 8-6 rec and 3.63 era. The rest of staffs stats are almost identical)
Dee Gordon is on block. Only played in 36 games, and stats: .282 0 3 10sb 29h/103abs. He obviously isn't used much, and hasn't been on DL in case you are wondering. Dodgers lineup:
Crawford
HanRam
Gonzo
Kemp
Ether
Edwin Encarnacion
Victorino(DH)
Ellis C
Ellis 2B (B ovr and pot)
They have pretty stacked lineup, so Dee isn't needed. Any pot trade for him, and also any pot trade for a catcher(with a different team) would be greatly appreciated! (Sorry for such a long post)Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Couldn't get a little more? Shields is doing way better K/BB wise than any pitcher they have(outside if Kershaw) and the only reason his stats are a little inflated are because of a couple bad starts in beginning of year. He's on a hot streak, and his stats are still better than anyone else they have.Comment
