I have no clue. I wouldn't be. He retires after the first year, and Detroit is more than good enough on paper to win the WS without Jeter. So I wouldn't be going out and giving up Turner for a guy who isn't necessary and is guaranteed to retire after year 1.

They most certainly aren't, lol. They really need one more bat, and one more pitcher."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

That team is stacked on paper AC, just like the Jays and Rockies in royals chise is stacked on paper. Doesn't mean things will go well, but on paper they look ridiculously good.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

On paper in The Show? That team usually wins between 90 and 100 games in most of the sims I've done and goes to the WS. Every starter on the team has 15+ HR potential, with at least 4 guys who will likely hit 20+ dingers with around 80-120 RBIs. Verlander, Fister, Scherzer, and Sanchez all typically pitch well in sims.

Hence the, "one more bat," comment. Avila's generally horrible."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

What do you think a good trade for James Paxton would be? Scouts are souring on him last I heard, and in game, he's been pretty bad- 4+ ERA last year.
Mariners are still rebuilding... would they need a young bat?
How would a Gose for Paxton trade work?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

I'm thinking Hechevarria could be a fit. Nick Franklin is the SS/2B of the future in Seattle and is playing for AAA Tacoma. He could easily slide over to 2B pushing Ackley to LF leaving SS for Hechevarria. I'm assuming the M's would wanna keep Kyle Seager at either 3B or 2B next season.
Gose for Paxton is fair and I don't know that much about Hechevarria to say if he's enough for Paxton. Maybe throw in a C prospect as well...Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

The M's need all the offense they can get but thy got plenty of journeymen OF in Trayvon Robinson, Casper Wells, Mike Carp and Michael Saunders, Franklin Gutierrez. Then there's Eric Thames and Francisco Peguero. Gose would obviously be a fit anyway and add that speed they lost with Ichiro.

I would make sure to do those position changes you said. Good idea.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm with the jays in my first season...
I'm looking to trade for a starting pitcher. I want to keep Romero and Morrow, I will trade anybody else.
And..
I want to trade mathis ( I can't hit with him) Any backup catcher that I can trade for??
Thanks!Comment

As for catcher, I'd try for John Jaso or Miguel Olivo from the M's. They have 3 catchers on the MLB roster (Montero, Jaso and Olivo) so that's a realistic target for you. Both guys are a C prospect eachFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Is it Hechevarria or Hechavarria? Either way I think Hech and a C is fair. Guess Sierra would add AAA depth for Tacoma to begin with but he's got a good bat like you said. I have no problem doing that deal since the M's are in desperate need of offenseFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What kind of starter would you like to acquire? An ace? Middle of the rotation starter? Swingman for spot starts and LRP appearances? 5th man?

I will look at Jaso and Olivo.
