Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Just starting Spring Training in the second year of my A's franchise, and I'm looking to trade Coco to make room for Weeks as my leadoff and to bring Cowgill into the big leagues. What could I get for him? He led the league in stolen bases last year and also was very high in the batting race with an average .309 (13 HRs and 69 RBIs). Also was an All-Star.

...the more I say the crazier it feels to let him go, but he's in the last year of his contract and I don't think I'd be bringing him back at 34 no matter what kind of season he has.

I'd say two C's given his salary and the fact that you're in spring. If it were around the deadline and he was putting up this fine numbers you mentioned, I'd go a low B

Encarnacion is two mid B's and a high C
A-Rod is one B (mainly cuz of his massive contract)
Swisher is one low B and one C

Let me nip this in the bud...

Trout is untouchable. Let's move on.

Thing is with him, he's worth 3 B's, but we wouldn't trade him realistically for anything less than an A and a B (aka being blown away), so he's not a very good option.
