I doubt for Peavy no. I wouldn't make that trade. Addison Reed is supposed to be one of the best upcomming closers in baseball tho, he's the real deal as far as I can tell. He was Strasburg's closer in college. I think Rendon, Rodriquez, and Lidge for Peavy, and Reed is probably a lateral move at best. H-Rod is up there with Chapman as the hardest throwers in the major leagues, Rendon has a chance to be special, and Lidge is a solid bullpen arm. Peavy is looking like he's got it again however, but at the same time he is 31 now.

He very well may, he is playing 3rd right now tho in his first action. I honestly don't know if he's ever played 2nd in his life. He was a converted shortstop, played 3rd 2 years at Rice, and DH'd as a senior.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I've all but given up on the AI trade logic. This is using OS Full Minors.
Braves:
- Brian McCann
Rays:
- Carlos Pena
- Minor Leaguer
- Minor Leaguer
I lost it when I saw this. Why on earth would Atlanta need Carlos Pena when they have Freddie Freeman? I checked and he wasn't injured so it wasn't a "must" for a playoff push. But why trade their best catcher? Especially for a position you already have?
Then, a month later the Braves traded for a catcher. Well, you don't say? You need a catcher now?
I see this all the time from the CPU where they get trade happy and trade away one position and then end up trading for that position when they could've just kept the player.
I think a lot of it has to do with contracts. There are so many 1/1 contracts that the CPU just goes all out trading them. Once you get a year or so down the line in franchise trading settles down a bit as teams keep players that have longer contracts. 90% of your team isn't 1/1.
Still, other than 30 team control I just play franchise with trading off.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Look at this trade in my franchise.
Cardinals trade:
Shelby Miller
Tajuan Walker ( acquired from the mariners for Carlos Beltran)
Oscar Traveras
To the Braves for: David Ross (Catcher)
Yep, the Cardinals traded their 3 most highly touted prospects for a Backup catcher (Molina is healthy)Last edited by nowitsourtime; 06-09-2012, 11:33 PM.Comment

I wouldn't even do that trade for piazza numbers! He said molina wasnt even injured! Unless he was hitting like Ted Williams and babe Ruth combined, I wouldn't even look at that deal!Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ya, I know what yo meant. If he was hitting like piazza, then you could look at a deal as stl, but would only have to send 1 prospect probably!Comment

Try packaging Feliz with Profar or Olt and one of the top arms like Martin PerezFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.
