McGee offers plenty of upside. Playing with the Rockies and Rex Brothers is a similar lefty reliever so I wouldn't put a priority on him at the moment. Just starting up but I'll keep McGee in mind for the trading deadline if the Rays are losing or if he's buries in AAA like you mentioned
Never can have too many lefties

Yeah well Rex Brothers, Matt Reynolds, Josh Outman and Jamie Moyer (out of options) say otherwise . Was gonna dump the old man for a bag of balls but he pitched a scoreless inning to pick up a win in his first appearance of the spring. Might add another lefty for AAA depth like you're saying but not someone with McGee's caliber

Oh wow, didn't realize they had so many lefties haha.

Thinking about finding a roster that has some good ratings and making all the moves and such up to date then just sign all the remaining FA to teams and do a random select for a team in 30-team control.

If I'm not too late, may I suggest...

          Promoting Chris Carpenter

Sergio Santos / Steve Delabar / Brad Lincoln / Esmil Rogers / Jeremy Jeffress (1 or 2) from the Jays

Jeffress is an interesting name. Playing with OD rosters so he's in KC. Won't cost more than a mid C I guess?

Already have Rogers cuz of the OD rosters. Pitching quite nicely with him so far

He got DFA'd from KC so give them a scrub or something

Do you guys do the trade if the meter is full even though it says that they're not interested at the moment? As long as one is offering fair value I'd assume it's fair

I just use force trades and get approval here.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Hi guys, this is my first time posting in this thread so I hope I'm doing this right.

I'm in the second year of my Yankees 'chise and Arod has retired. I gave myself a tighter budget than the the game did because I want a little bit more of a challenge. Because of this, my roster is a little weaker.

It's June 2nd and basically, I'm looking for a young DH/3B/Corner OF with a higher contact rating because my ream is struggling to hit for contact (the team is hitting a collective .250) Gardner and Ichiro are underperforming BIGTIME (.217 and .218 respectively). The players I've been using at 3B and DH (Eric Chavez, Stephen Drew, and Jayson Nix) have been underperforming as well.

My team is 28-25, 3rd place in the AL East and 4.5 games back. My top choices would be Pablo Sandoval (SF) or Yonder Alonso (SD). the padres have the same record as I do and are also in 3rd place. SF is 21-32 and 11 games back.

What would be a fair package to offer either team? I could part with Manny Banuelos. He started the year in MLB but struggled to 1-4 with a 4.75 ERA. I don't really want to give up Manny Banuelos AND Gary Sanchez.
                        Thoughts?

Chase Headley from the Padres for a couple of high C prospects (if he's doing alright) would be a good deal for a 3B.

Adam Lind for one mid C from the Jays would be a good DH. He kills in Yankee Stadium.

A good corner OF could be Josh Willingham for a couple of B prospects.

Headly is struggling a bit in 2013. Would Banuelos for Alonso straight up be unfair?

It'd be an absolutely terrible trade for you. Honestly the Padres aren't dealing him either

These are great options for you. I'd order them Headley, Willingham, Lind based on your wants.
