Hanson could be traded provided his 2012 season is not good.

      Why trade him
Brian Kelly will have ND back this year.

Arizona State will bounce back this year too.

The Cubs will end the streak next year

An over-abundance of starting pitching + Hanson will want a ton of money.

I'm the Tigers in the 2013 offseason and my biggest needs are, in order, OF, RP/CP, 2B, SP, SS.

There are some good outfielders in free agency like Bourn and Upton and Swisher so maybe I'll sign one of them. The other positions will probably have to be upgraded through trades.

Nick Castellanos, Avisail Garcia, Bryan Villareal, Rick Porcello, Omar Infante, Andy Dirks, Brennan Boesch, and Jhonny Peralta are all on my trading block. Any trade ideas? I really want to get Upton but would I be able to get him for Castellanos, Garcia, Villareal, and Porcello?

What would it take to get him realistically? I have Fukudome hitting really well in limited ABs, Brandon Short tearing up AAA, and Danks hitting well in AAA. I could do 2 of them plus a C 23 YO 1B or something. Thoughts?
I haven't gotten an answer and its 3-4 pages back so I'm just bumping it. I'll add that COL's needs seem to be 1B and pitching plus the aforementioned OF situation. I just want help finding something realistic that works or maybe I have to wait for our resident COL expert?

The Padres might have an excess of RP, White Sox would probably do CP Reed for Castellanos if Morel was bad. That is not enough for Justin Upton in my eyes but what are Garcia's and Villareal's prospect status in game? They'd need to be A's or high-high B's. Even then, would Arizona want an OF in return?

Come on. A B CP for an A 3B. That's not even close to fair.

1--I said they would do it as they have a track record of doing it
2--both under team control for a long time
3--Castellanos is strictly a contact hitter, no power and not your ideal 3B which devalues him and giving a B CP with an established history for a lack of power 3B prospect is more fair than you would think on the surface.

Besides, he wanted options/ideas and there is one. He's DET's GM and he can do whatever necessary in his eyes. I've thought Williams was getting ripped off plenty of times like trading away Gio and CY

Castallenos is a stellar prospect, and trading a very good position player for a reliever of any sort very rarely works out well.

I won't disagree, I just said that the ChiSox would do it! Whether he wants to do it is up to him. Besides, being intradivision like that the ChiSox wouldn't do t for less...

If the Tigers phoned Chicago with that deal, and you guys didn't take it before Dombrowski reconsidered, you'd be a laughingstock.

Sorry I haven't been online much today. I'm not at my PS3 right now... but I would assume they would want a decent amount for Colvin. He's young and I think he's got B potential... along with them being in good position to make the playoffs and him being in the starting line-up against righties. I would say 1 mid B, 1 low B, and a mid C.
I can get you more of a detailed trade when I get to my PS3.

Two B's and a C for Tyler Colvin? Really? The dude's a 27 year old platoon player.
