Is he someone PIT would've considered offers for if they were looking like at another sub .500 year come the ASB? What would it take to get him?

How old is he again? I'd figure that you'd need to give up prospects, but you don't have prospects as the White Sox that'd match up with Pittsburgh, so it doesn't look good off the bat."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

They want Flowers (B+) and either Castro (B+) or Nestor Molina (B+). Big need at catcher so I get that. Thoughts?Last edited by rjackson; 11-01-2012, 11:25 PM.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Slow day at work so I figured I'd kill time by valuing some White Sox players
Peavy - 2 low B's
Rios - 1 low B
Dunn - 2 high C's
Konerko - 1 mid B
Floyd - 2 low B's
Crain - 2 mid C's
Thornton - 2 high C's
Ramirez - 2 high C's
Viciedo - 1 low B
Pierzynski - 2 high C's
Danks - 2 low B's
Just a general idea of their value without performances in mind. Y'all agree?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

I'd say Konerko is worth at least 1 high B or two mid B's. other than that, it looks pretty good to me!"The most amazing things that can happen to a human being will happen to you if you just lower your expectations."Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Beckham is an A potential in the game (remind you of that Pedro Alvarez stuff last night?). Peavy may be injury prone but the standard rental deal for a pitcher his caliber has been 3 B's.
I'm going to be a buyer this year, though, so it doesn't matter but I do appreciate it--might use it next year because I'm sure Paulie will retire and maybe AJ as well.
Right now, I've got a black hole at 3B and Youk is not an option. I'd also like a LF, preferrably with speed who can hit righties. My team is very station to station and Viciedo mashes LHP but is weak against RHP. At least one of the 3B or LF needs to be a LHH. Eric Chavez is an option. He's only hitting .150 and maybe NYY are misusing him? Scott Podsednik still isn't signed either. Thoughts?Last edited by rjackson; 11-02-2012, 04:19 PM.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Current bench for Royals are: Giovatella, Falu, Sal Perez, Bourgeois.
Doumit being my DH, he's doing horrible against lefties and my bench are mainly for pinch runners and defense.
Looking for a power righty off the bench. Wondering if I should also get a power/contact lefty for bench, but I don't think I'll need with such a lefty dominant lineup (gordon, moose, hosmer, dyson)
Sorry for rambling, but now that you know my situation, who is a good righty power bat for the bench (i don't mind them being under team control since doumit may not come back) and what would I have to give up? I was looking at Casper Wells for startersComment
