I would say High B, Mid-highish B, High C, for Ike Davis... He's pretty young with A potential. I don't really see the Mets giving him up.

    LaRoche: 2 High B's?

    What do you guys think?

      Not so quick on Haren

7:56pm: Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com (via Twitter) hears that the deal has not been completed and the Angels are still active in discussions with more than one team.

Angels are playing hardball with a different team in my opinion.

Concur, Ike Davis not going anywhere without an A in return. Laroche wouldn't be going anywhere either if they are contending but mid B, low B, mid C would be my guess for him.

He's only hitting .150 and maybe NYY are misusing him? Scott Podsednik still isn't signed either. Thoughts?
Rajai Davis or Ichiro in your OF? Also, I endorse Colvin, but he's not very fast and is like a 40/80 glove.

For 3B, Alex Rodriguez, Chase Headley, David Wright, Mark Trumbo, Martin Prado, Michael Young, Alberto Callaspo, Scott Sizemore, Placido Polanco, Wilson Betemit, Scott Rolen, Jerry Hairston, Chris Johnson, Chone Figgins, Mark DeRosa, Emilio Bonafacio, Brandon Wood.

            From angels and cubs officials.

Word is they are waiting on Marmol to waive his no trade clause. In which he is currently in te Dominican Republic. Reporters there though asked if he would waive it to LA and responded "yes, they are a dry good team. "

To me this deal is all but done

Now the Cub "sources" are saying the deal isn't happening. Gotta love being a Cub fan. They can't even trade players right!

I hear ya. We would much rather have players like Justin Germano. I'm just glad I didn't listen to the original reports and make this trade in my franchise already.

Wooooooooow. Marmol would've agreed to the trade (no-trade clause) but Theo pulled it off the table!!!

The speculation is that the medicals might have come back bad. Who knows just another Cubbie Occurence.

It was medical Haren didn't pass a physical (back) And when Theo caught wind of that, pulled the plug.

Although my thoughts are I'd really like to see the building process start a little sooner. Making deals for the 32 year old vets and trading them for subpar prospects is going to take some time.

Id like for us to sign a big name or two and at least give us Cubs fans something to cheer for.

We need pitching badly. Scott baker is a name out there that I'm liking more and more.

Not to derail the thread though my patience had grown thin but I can hold on just a bit longer.

                        I'm so excited for these.

Interested in getting Jon Lester to get a solid top 3 starting rotation of Zimmerman and Edwin Jackson (Thanks AC) because Duffy, Odorizzi and Adcock have been too shaky.

I am in 1st but only by one game and its July 29th. What do I need to give up? I want to send out Adcock and whatever else I need for Lester as a rental since he's in his final year. I don't plan on resigning him with Duffy getting better and Lamb, Montgomery and Zimmer waiting

Oh and the Sox are 51-51 14.5 out of 1st

I'll take a look at some players when I'm at my PS3 if no one else throws some suggestions out.

At 3B I thought of Chone Figgins... I don't know if that's what your looking for, I've just always been a big fan of his.
Colvin would be a nice fit. He is hitting .265ish with a few HRs not too many ABs. He is their 4th OF and starts against LHP. COL is 1 GB. Their 5th OF should be in AA. What would it take to get him realistically? I have Fukudome hitting really well in limited ABs, Brandon Short tearing up AAA, and Danks hitting well in AAA. I could do 2 of them plus a C 23 YO 1B or something. Thoughts?

What do you guys I could get for Brian LaHair? He's currently at .298/18/66 starting in RF for me. I have 22 games left in season 1 and I have a feeling Soriano is going to retire. Next year I plan on starting Jackson in CF and DeJesus in RF. Stewart is playing pretty well for me so I plan on keeping him as well. With Rizzo and LaHair that's just to many LHH's for my liking. I'm not looking to move him until the offseason but I'm trying to do a little pre-planning.

Also, any suggestions for a RHH corner outfielder with a little pop and plays good defense would be appreciated.
