Who are your RP in the MLB right now? I think De Aza would be a good piece of the trade.. would you be willing to give him up?

      for Colvin + Reynolds?

I could be off here... what are De Aza and Septimo's overall/potentials?

      De Aza compared to Colvin?

I like that trade with Reynolds thrown in.

I'd be giving up my starting CF and lead-off hitter for a platoon guy getting 15-20% of ABs. I couldn't do that.

Who do the Rox have for the OF? CarGo, Fowler, Cuddyer, and Colvin? Is Eric Young Jr. still there? Eric Young Jr. might be listed as a 2B.. but he should be changed to CF.

Maybe you could trade Danks/Short to a team rebuilding for a more established OF to trade to Colorado?

He's doing really good but thx to Kenny, I can't trade away any starters because of limited depth. I might have to wait and see if COL drops out of contention soon. I have lots of RP and a few B SP prospects I can trade and the aforementioned players so maybe we don't match up as trade partners until then. After they drop out, maybe they'd be more apt to go for prospects.

How about Chris Heisey? Would he fit your description?

I think he's looking for a LHH corner outfielder.

OF=CarGo, Fowler, Cuddyer, Colvin, and Brown (the guy who's ratings say he should be in AAA). Colvin replaces Fowler vs. LHP.
They do have EY I'm sure. I'll change him to CF with 2B secondary, right?

And yes, a LHH to platoon against RHP in LF.

I think EY is just an OF now. I haven't seen him play 2B for a couple of years.

So they would have CarGo, Fowler, Cuddyer, EY, and Andrew Brown... I think you could trade Colvin for a couple of RP and the C 1B prospect.

                        Colvin + Reynolds for Septimo + Molina + C 1B?

I could see them trading Colvin for some bullpen help down the stretch. Molina is a starter though right?

I honestly have no clue why we're even fathoming giving up a B for a 27 year old platoon player without a position.

I'm just throwing out some ideas. I'm not sure who he's got for RP in the MLB.

He could always turn Daniel Murphy back into an outfielder, David Murphy of the Rangers?

Molina will never be anything more than a RP for me in my eyes and I have no room for him. His loss wouldn't bother me at all. Colvin fills a need for a deep run into the playoffs. I can overpay for him just a little bit, plus I've had a good draft which is where most my rebuilding the system has to come from since the pale hose are so thin.

I'd assume that I could get away with Molina+1B prospect for Colvin? If not, I'd just ship Reynolds to TEX who is desperate for a lefty reliever. I think his value would be one mid-C?

I couldn't see TEX or NYM giving up Murphy or Murphy in my franchise plus Colvin frickin' mashes RHP according to Scott's ratings.
