I could use a lefty LF to platoon and was thinking Aoki. What is he worth and who might fill their needs?

Also, I will be needing a 3B. Anyone remember what LAD gave up for Hanley Ramirez or can give a suggestion? I'd prefer a lefty hitter, though, most of my line-up is right handed.
Aoki isn't worth very much at all.

Kyle Seager (ish), Chris Johnson, Cheslor Cuthbert, Emilio Bonafacio, Sean Rodriguez, Ben Zobrist, Ryan Raburn.

    Hanley was Nathan Eovaldi, a mid-high-ish B.

Not at the PS3 at the moment, couldn't tell you...I used the first ZIPS roster that had the draft picks on it.

A combination of those guys would work.

This should've been mentioned... in SEPTEMBER, he's hitting .270 with 15 homers after missing time this year AND last year with injuries.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I want to put some input on the Troy Tulowitzki trade... Lets be real nobody is actually untouchable people just say they are because teams wouldn't give up what they'd have to give up to obtain such players. For example the Nationals would trade Strasburg for Verlander, Miggy, and Fielder. Its just the Tigers would never ever consider that trade.

Another example is the Twins putting Mauer on the waiver wire, they would have traded him if Boston would of claimed him. 100% true, they wanted to shed his contract and get a couple prospects back. I'm a huge Twins fan and hes a fan favorite and at first I was beyond mad that they were considering it, but then I realized hes getting older hes been hurt and hes got a huge contract and we've lost near 100 games 2 years in a row something needs to change!

I think that situation is pretty consistent with Tulowitzki, hes reaching his 30's, has a giant contract, hes injury prone, and the Rockies need to change something, who knows that might be trading Tulo for some pitching prospects that can turn around the organization...

With that said the final verdict for me would be

Jays trade: Mid A, Mid B, Mid B

              Rockies trade: Tulowitzki

If the Twins got that load of prospects for Mauer I'd be happy, and he has 3 batting titles and was in the race for a 4th all season...

                How about a high A, a high B, and a high C?

I'd be thrilled as a Rockies GM to get that offer. People forget that in MLB the Show terms a high A could turn out to be a MVP someday, a high B is a fringy All-star, and a high C is a quality player. I'd say go for it if you want Tulo. Just out of curosity is the high A Travis D'arnaud (SP?) and the high C is Hech? I think if the high B was a SP prospect that'd be perfect.

A is d'Arnaud, C is Moises Sierra (they traded 3 OFs), B is either Cozart or someone I haven't thought of.

You can't expect the Rockies to give him up for less than 2 A's for reasons already stated. There is just no reason for them to want to do that unless the offer is overwhelming.

Except you can...a high B is basically an A, while a High A is a candidate for awards year in and out once they develop

And a high C will develop into a better player than half of the Rockies roster at this point (as sad as that sounds, and believe me I know what this feels like being an Astros franchiser.)

EDIT: And I'll say this. My favorite player is Justin Verlander (who would have guessed lol) anyways! If Detroit gave him a huge deal and we weren't contending for two plus years, and our minors were in shambles much like the Twins or Rockies. I could and would REALISTICALLY expect a package of prospects much like a high A, high B, and high C. And this is for the best pitcher in baseball (arguably I know)

The Rockies aren't going to trade Tulo for some pitching prospects. They got a lot of high rated prospects in the Ubaldo trade and there's really no telling how that will turn out. My point of bringing that up, is that they play in Coors Field which could totally destroy any pitcher, let alone a prospect. So they aren't going to trade their franchise player that they just signed to a 10 year contract for some prospects that MIGHT work out. They are going to go for more of a sure thing. That is why it would take a lot to pry Tulo away. They just signed him to a major contract because they want to keep him, not dump him off after 2 or 3 seasons.

Put aside your fandom for a second. Look at it objectively, and think about the fact that you're getting a TREMENDOUS prospect, a fringy A prospect, and a fringy B prospect, for an oft-injured SS, and your pitching freaking SUCKS.

The Rockies' pitching situation by potential:

An about-to-retire Tim Hudson, two quality starters in Drew Pomeranz and Clay Buchholz (although Buch was horrible this year), a decent starter in Chad Bettis, and one legitimate prospect in Tyler Chatwood. Fringy prospect in in Tyler Anderson.

You can't have two quality starters on a staff. That's not going to get you anywhere.

It's not about what is fair in this case. It's about overwhelming them to get them to trade him. I'll say it again... they aren't going to trade someone they just signed to a 10 year contract, for prospects. 10 year contracts aren't just handed out everyone decent. They are handed out to players they have chosen to build their team around. Tulo is too big of a piece of the Rockies future to not give up a lot.
