Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Pujols going for Miggy is unrealistic and unfair...if you have no guilt about making that trade than good for you. Most of us in this community have a conscience and can't make trades that we know are unrealistic in good faith, so bringing them into this thread isn't something I'd recommend.
But don't question why we think its unreal and unfair man. Because no matter how you justify it, its unfair and definitely unrealistic. Miguel is 3 years younger than Albert and is much more affordable, plus Miguel is a better player than Albert right now and for the foreseeable future as well. Detroit won't be dealing Miggy for just about any package a team would ever offer them, and that's especially true for Pujols.
So my question is this: who exactly is the one doing things that aren't "useful and important" again?
That's all. I'm sorry to have taken a tangent and moved off topic...as to the Johan trade being asked about, I agree with NFG on him, 2 mid Cs is a good value for an underperforming Johan.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I only have 2 weeks and I was thinking maybe I could get more from just because he's Johan Santana and he's still a top 15 pitcher in the game. He has a year kept on his contract and is still capable of being an ace just having a bad season. Some of it is my fault to because I struggled when I started the seasonComment

I know they wouldn't need Olt with Wright just using him as a example hereComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
K so im a Mets fan so maybe theres a little biased in there but still... I thought he could be worth 1 Medium B-Low A prospect depending on the team and what there needs are. He can still put a teams rotation over the top such as the Rangers who have a great rotation but Derek Holland is out so they need another starter and he's still capable of being an Ace. I think in real life that Mets would ask for a semi big to Big ticket prospect back ( such as Olt) in return for Santana considering the fact that he is there Ace.

Its not like it hasn't happened before. Im not saying I would do it but its not like it hasn't happened before. To answer your question though I probably would not do that as a opposing GMComment
