2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Call me crazy but I'm wanting to pursue A-Rod. Cubs have a hole at 3rd and have a few more years before Javier Baez develops to fit that role and position.

What are the Yankee needs in order to make A-Rod a cub.


Rumors irl have Marmol and multiple prospects. Along with Soriano and prospects.

Along with that rumor the only reason I see the cubs making this deal is if the yanks eat most the salary which I think they do bc of the money rolling in.

So this is my chise, I wanna know what I would have to give up. I'm gonna restructure his contract as well, so in my virtual chise act like the yanks took on most of that contract.


EDIT: I don't have stats on A rod bc this chise hasn't started and quite frankly idc about stats in the show I base my trades on what happening irl.

So right now what is Arods worth to my cubs. And I'll translate that in my chise.

AC I'm doing my chise right now and I'm facing the Mariners who had Bard to start, using Felix. Let's just say I'm kicking their *ss 5-1. An update on the KKKKKKKKKing (see what I did there!!!) He's 4-2 1.53 era (could go lower) 59 K's (9 tonight). That's why I got him!!!

While I won't tell people how to play the game, I don't understand how people can blatantly rip off the CPU and not feel a shred of guilt.

This is the only trade I really absolutely do not feel a shred of guilt. I got paranoid with guilt from the Panik trade. I always feel guilty about trades even when their fair or I helped the CPU out. But this one, I don't feel one bit of guilt!!!

Better for the M's than mine but still not realistic. But in my opinion if you like him as much as me than go for it!!!

Felix Hernandez is worth 4 A prospects. End of story. He's looking at Bogaerts, Barnes, Ranaudo, and Middlebrooks/young A hitter. And let's not even get into that a.) GMZ has been blown away by offers but hasn't traded him, b.) Boston is on his NTC, and c.) Pretty much everyone in baseball thinks he's gonna resign.

I'm not making the trade. I just came across this thread and thought about what trade would actually be somewhat realistic. I think Felix will continue to be a Mariner for his career, at least I hope he is.

I just tried putting together a mock trade together to see what you guys thought.

The Mariner's are just holding back his complete potential. I don't know what the king sees in them. He should have 110 to 120 wins and 30 to 40 losses not a carrer W/L record of 98-76!!! HE NEEDS A TEAM WITH RUN SUPPORT!!!!
