I have both the PS3 and PSVita versions of the game and had been transferring my RTTS save back and forth through the cloud feature with no problems. Since the patch, today was the first time I loaded the save up on the PS3. Now when I load it on the Vita, if I try to advance the schedule past the current day (which automatically happens when you go to Play Next Appearance), I get "An error has occurred in the following application. (C2-12828-1) MLB 12 The Show" and the game crashes. I went back to the PS3 and was able to play another game just fine on the cloud save.

So has the patch made it so you can transfer saves from a Vita to a PS3 but not back to the Vita?

I'm in August of 2016 and this is RTTS and I play for the Orioles, so I don't think is the same thing as the problem others have had with April 2012 and a specific few teams.

It seems to be like Russian Roulette at this point.

My experience has pretty much been the opposite. I can upload to the Vita, I even played a few games on it with a corrupt save file (didn't notice until I went to transfer to the PS3), but I get the freeze whenever I try to load to the PS3. Even when trying to load a file that is out of April.
I'm not sure there's anything you can do at this point to guarantee it from not happening.

see this is what I dont understand.

I'm about 50 games in my chise. The game then wouldnt let me go to the lineup screen for my next game. It kept freezing. So I just simmed that day and now everything is just fine as if nothing happened.


Should I be worried that it will freeze for good at game 157?

PS I was facing the Twins and they just put the pitcher that I was supposed to face on the DL and it said on the scheduling screen that they didnt have a pitcher scheduled to face me. So maybe that had something to do with it?

It's just the norm. This is the case with almost any software company. I guess I'm just used to it.

Not to be argumentative, but that's just plain unacceptable. Perhaps you are used to such behavior from software companies, I have no reason to doubt that, but the fact that SCEA (not some mouthpiece representing SCEA hanging out in the forums here) has not publicly addressed this leads me to think that it's a problem too big for them to handle, and that letting gamers figure out solutions for themselves (ie, simming games to skip the bugs, deleting patches) is probably the cheaper route for SCEA to go. All I can say is that in the past I've shied away from repeat business with companies whose games 'lock up'.

I am so happy that I was away on vacation in Florida when the patch came out. I read about the problems and just didn't bother with the patch when I got home. I have yet to have a freeze. Now, I did upload my franchise to my Vita and played the KC series while I was in Florida. I didn't bother sending it back to my PS3 and will now wait until the next patch comes out and is confirmed to have no problems. I can live with the night games on weeknights, day games on weekends thing for now.

If I have read this correctly, I likely would have been safe anyway, as I had yet to play any of the "bugged" teams. I was just about to open a series against KC (I am the Jays, so had played Indians, Red Sox, Rays, O's only). However, I think I read that people had freezing issus without any of the noted teams, so I will just wait it out. You know SCEA will find a way to fix it.

Since SCEA hasn't made a pubic statement about this, I'm left wondering if they even know that its an issue, or if they are even working on it. Do we know for certain about these things?

RTTS Mode created player 99speed everytime I make it to first base the computer thinks I am going to steal, so they throw a pitch out. 75% of the time in the pitch out the catcher misses the pitch out or its dropped game freezes. If I stop at 2nd base game freezes I just stand there if I hold the run button down and run home game freezes and I just stand next to the home plate required to restart ps3 to attempt to play again.

For this reason I am returning your game but thanks for getting me back into baseball maybe next year I will try your game again.

Can anyone help or have insight into my problem, please read. After I downloaded the patch I can't play my RTTS season. When I load it everything is good but as soon as I click on "sim to next plate apperance or try and view the schedule my PS3 completly freezing.
Has this happend to anyone else since they downloaded the patch?

It's happened to me and I'm stuck on July 13 also I think that it has corrupted my save.after I deleted the patch I loaded my save and it still freezes. I'm afraid that I'll have to start over.

did a test. did one with custom rosters and one without. the custom froze, the default didnt!

crap. freeze just hit me. I'm playing all 30 and I've customized the hell out of the rosters, now I've lost all that work. crap. crap. crap. crap. I'm stuck on July 18. I try to sim a game and it freezes before the uniform selection page.

Is there any work around for this? My franchise just froze on July 24th after WHOOPING the Brew Crew 10-2 with the Phils. As soon as I tried to sim to the next day it will freeze. I also noticed that the Braves were 98 games back of first place in the NL East and there was another team in the AL that was 99 games back so that is obviously a glitch...

I'm sitting at 59-39 too , what are other folks doing? I have an old save from July 10th but REALLY don't want to go back...Do we wait for another patch? delete current patch (how?) or what?

Has there been any update on this freezing? I haven't been able to play my RTTS in about a week. I have a lot of time invested in it. (Good thing I didn't buy any extra help). I don't have the time to read through about 3 threads of 50+pages.

I am not that far in my franchise, so it hasn't happened to me, but if I am understanding baseballcardude is saying if you download a roster it looks like that is the reason it is freezing. The roster update has the most current players, so if you use a default roster you should be okay.

My question is I saved the newest roster that was updated by the game and when I just started a new Rays/Braves franchise, will this freeze?
