Right on, that all sounds great with me. Keuchel ended up with the win. Allowed 2 runs in a CG gem against the Pads. Maxwell continues to rake for me, going 3-3 with 4 RBI.

Alright, as to the trading. I found a possible landing spot for Jed. The Angels currently are neck and neck with Texas for the AL West. They lead Texas by 1.5 games right now but have gotten 0 production from the SS position. Erick Aybar is has a triple slash line of .219/.257/.302 with 2 HR and 29 RBI. Versus Jed who has a triple slash of .292/.357/.469 with 5 HR and 31 RBI

I figure that this may be a solid fit, because if Aybar ever starts hitting, Jed can become their ultra utility guy, as he can play almost anywhere well. And if not, the Angels add a solid bat for the pennant race.

I'm just glancing through their system now to find a couple of prospects that may fit the bill for me. Kevin Jepsen intrigues me, I know he isn't a prospect, but he's a C Pot and he's sitting in AAA for them. He'd be a nice arm to add to my bullpen. And Jean Segura maybe? He's an SS who's having a poor season for their AA affiliate, but has B pot and talent up the middle is tough to come by. Maybe a change of scenery is what he needs. I don't know the Angels system all that well so I'm just taking a shot in the dark here.

Segura is the Angels top-ranked prospect currently....if Lowrie was having a season like he is IRL, then yes i might pull the trigger if i was the Angels...with the stats he's having in your franchise, i'd hold onto Segura....since u brought up up-the-middle talent, how do u feel about Taylor Lindsey?

Gotcha, ummm I honestly don't know too much about Lindsey. Other than the fact that he's a 2B of course, and that he's B potential. He looks intriguing, but again I just don't know too much about him

im not gunna pretend i know much about him either...i just looked for a 2B/SS prospect that i would realistically trade u for Lowrie if i were the Angels...i'd probably buy a little more time for Lowrie to see if he can get his value up

Lol, well this is what I found on him:

My reasons for putting Lindsey towards the back end of this list were two-fold: he's a bat first prospect, projecting to have below average speed, arm strength, and athleticism; second, there are some question marks about the bat, because he may only be good for batting average down the road if the patience fails to develop and his pull power doesn't play as well at the upper levels. It's not exactly an apple to apples comparison, but growing into a player similar to Alexi Amarista is a likely outcome. Or he's a left-handed Howie Kendrick - awesomeness - but guys who hit well enough for us to forget about walks and power are rare. At age 20, Howie hit .367 in full season ball, so the bar for Lindsey heading into his age 20 season is very high if that's the kind of player he's going to be.
The game I just finished was exactly 6 games from July 1st. So my simmed 5 games take me to July 1st. I have a bunch of posting to do in my blog, but I think I can take my time on that lol.

yeah u can def take your time with that....as far as Lindsey goes, u have Altuve, Paredes and DeShields waiting in the minors so up the middle IF is probably the last positions i'd look to trade for

Agreed on the trade...I just don't know what to look for exactly. RF and CF are spots I can improve on and build depth with. 3B maybe, 1B is Singleton's spot to lose next season. Catcher? RP? I mean, the young starting pitching the Astros have is damn good. Rob Rasmussen from the Lee trade is 4-1 with a low 2 ERA in 12 starts this season in AA, and he's a C potential. Keuchel got the call with a 1.80 ERA in AAA. Not to mention Cosart, McCullers, Tropeano, Clemens, Folty, Oberholtzer are all lighting it up in the minors.

if u ask me, the FIRST position i'd look for is Catcher...they have absolutely nothing in the minors....next position is RP...i like Chapman and Zeid but what other reliever prospects really excite u? LF is another position i'd target with Nash probably occupying one of the corner spots and Jordan Scott.....if a team offered me a SP prospect that i can't refuse, im taking it...u cant ever have too much pitching

I about 2 1/2 weeks from the deadline. Off the top of my head he is 6-8 with a 3.13 or 3.23 ERA... 1.13 or 1.14 WHIP .. so he is pitching pretty well.

I've gotta look around and see what kind of B prospects I can snag before the deadline. I feel like I want to bolster the bullpen a bit, but that could be a waste as I like some of the guys the Astros have. Then I thought OF, but I just drafted 2 A potential LF'ers.. I think one of the strengths of the Astros is the many talented young pitchers (mostly B potential guys but I still like pitching with them). So I'm not really sure what I should go after with him.

catching....Astros have nothing in the minors....unless u drafted a stud catcher?

No not a stud. I think I grabbed a B potential prospect. Perhaps I could look for a power hitting catcher prospect and a RP as well from a contender. Then I also have to look for somebody to deal Myers to. He is doing pretty well I don't know the stats off the top of my head though.

he's easy to deal....pretty much every contender is looking to solidify their bullpen...he's the least of your worries...and yes, anything besides Landon Powell or Carlos Corporan PLEASE!
