pretty much a double elimination tournament. The winner of the International bracket plays the winner of the US bracket in the Would Series finals. Canada is still in it. there 1-0 i believe

That sounds like the ASG I watched earlier...stupid game went 13 innings and the NL had to go and lose.

Although I did bounce back quite nicely and now lead the WC as we near the deadline. Updates will come out tomorrow as I'm not feeling it right now lol.

What's Up Fellas.

I took a long vacation so I haven't been able to play my franchise in about 2 weeks. It's good to see a lot you guys progressing in your seasons. I feel like I'm so far behind, but at the same time, this is the furthest I've been in a franchise (playing every game) with one team (83 games). I'm going to consider holding off on Madden this year so I can get through at least 2-3 seasons with the Astros. There is no way I can stop now... LOL

I'm at the July 6th date with a leagues worst record of 30-53, entering my last series before the All-Star Break.

I'm working shopping Wandy Rodriquez and JA Happ to a team that might need them. The Red Sox lost 2 starters for the season but are still in contention, so I'm trying to work out a deal with them now.

New additions to the team from June, that I failed to mention :

SP Rich Harden - Free Agency
SS/3B Junior Lake - Claimed off waivers from Chicago (why did they give up this guy so soon? I had to snag him before another team did)

Guys playing up on the MLB level, out of the ordinary :

2B Jimmy Paredes - In a cold spell now but I like his bat and glove at 2nd more than anybody else on the team.

OF Fernando Martinez - Giving the kid a shot to prove something and he hasn't played half that bad

SS Angel Sanchez - stinks but allowing Marwin to play in AAA and not be rushed.

SS/3B Junior Lake - I have him playing every day either at SS or 3B, his glove is adequate but his bat is lacking right now

CarGo's first HR as an Astro comes at home off of Josh Johnson to Right Center...423 foot bomb complete with the bat flip and swag walk.

And I'm not gonna lie Geronimo, I can't stand Paredes anymore. He sucks at the MLB level every time I give him a chance. So he gets no more chances. With Correa on the horizon, and Johnson/Altuve playing well, my infield is pretty set anyways. If Singleton could just figure things out, I'd be set! Thank god Pena is locked up through 2014, because there is NO way Singleton is ready to play at the Major League level in 2014.

EDIT: When things are going good for CarGo, they're going really good. He hit another one in his next AB off Johnson.

nope i didnt think the Astros would sniff the playoffs in 2012...but to be fair, most of the dirty work was done by the good fortune of simmed games going my way so a lot of thanks have to go to the The Show gods lol.....my rotation will be Norris, Lyles, Milk Carton and perhaps Owens depending on how things goes
