Basically this...you bean him in the head every time he comes up to hit. But Jonathan Sanchez is getting that chit next time I see him in my franchise.

Steady diet of low away fastballs should do the trick, no?

Normally I'd agree, but for me, Sanchez is a special case. That stupid guy turns into the second coming of Randy Johnson when I face him, then sucks it up when I don't. He must be dealt with appropriately.

And I'll definitely be curious about your approach with Kemp and how it works, its a big matchup for the series.

                    Re: Da Astros

No we didn't hit him in the head EVERY time. Only once or twice.... But he had it coming. Kershaw hit Beltran twice in 2 ABs on the first pitch and we needed to show that we were playin' for keeps.

The Padres have a big rivalry with the Dodgers and they were hot dogging it in a crucial series so we had to take the intensity to the next level and show them who was boss.

If I remember correctly, that's about the time the wheels fell of their playoff bus.

We also did that to a very special someone in the World Series but I have a special parody lined up for that one.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

i have similar issues with plenty of pitchers but i cant afford to head-hunt in the postseason....i'll scribble down some notes on how i pitch Kemp...i look forward to the challenge

Establish fastball then the changeup then bounce one but not in front of the plate. Or if you set up the offspeed well enough he can't catch up to the Gas (95+ if you put it up and in on his hands.

BTW, head-hunting turned out to be pretty effective. I struck out Matt Kemp looking in every at bat the following game and the other lucky winner went 0-4 in the final game of the World Series.

i'll probably start out pitching backwards to him and see how he reacts to a heavy dose of non-fastballs before i bust him inside with the cheese

That sounds good. He's a sucker for a good curve and he looks absolute silly if you back up your pitches. Just don't do it with runners on!

not really cause nobody's fastball tops out more then 93-94 so hopefully that's good enough
