so do i but Law does make a valid point....when you're a team like the Astros, no major-league player can be off-limits

I was actually thinking of posting last night what can I could get for JD in a trade (probably added with other people).. because the two A potential OF'ers I drafted in season 1 are MLB ready hitters (defense/speed is lacking). I could move some salary and go after prospects for positions of need. I was also thinking of skipping the prospect aspect if I had JD in it and just going after a MLB ready talent. I don't know though .. it would be tough.

Norris however I won't be moving.

how much did JD command in the free agency post-year 1? i cant imagine it'd be through the roof....as with anybody, what he's worth depends on how he's doing

Yea after I posted I was thinking about his contract and it wasnt much (Off the top of my head i'd guess between 2.5-3.5 mill .. but not sure). Still I could make a move to get talent at another position.

even the penny-pinching Astros can afford that lol....only problem i forsee is JD's production taking a major hit as i believe his ratings took a dip in Scott's roster as well as the guys hitting around him are well to put this nicely....bad

this is gunna sound a bit crazy considering the product the Astros currently showcase but..... would u be open to trading Norris and/or JD if u guys are out if it come the deadline?
I would trade Martinez if given a good package. He is a good hitter in-game but he would be a 4th OF on a winning team. Altuve is OK and is still young and cheap, but is most likely to generate interest. Norris' inconsistency gets on my nerves in-game so I would be open to letting him go. Other than that, no one else gives me pause.

like i said before, if Springer, Wates, Santana, Nash was tearing it up in AAA, i'd have no qualms trading JD.....but there's nothing exciting about JB Shuck or Brad Snyder.....agreed with Altuve....i dont envision him going anywhere though.....i dont want to gut the ENTIRE team......and i can understand where ur coming from with Norris...i just happen to envision him as being my future ace

at least Wandy gives a decent effort tonight going 6, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, walking 3, striking out 6

with the way things are going, Cordero isnt gunna get many opportunities to pitch...what i wouldn't do for the Astros to have a 7th inning or later lead....

He isn't cheap for long .. When going to sign him after season one he asks for almost 6 million a year (at least for me with scott's rosters). Hey it isn't superstar money, but still a lot with a 60 mill budget. That being said I locked him in for a while.

6M per year is a lot in Astros terms...so that means if i remember correctly, that's close to double of what JD asks for? thats unbelievable

I'm pretty sure Altuve got quite a boost with Scott's new rosters.. and JD got nerfed a bit..

Looking at Altuve's attributes before I think the only reason I thought 6 mill was okay (I think I signed him for 5.6 or something) was because he's what.. 22? That being said.. Unless I win 4 of the next 5 world series titles I won't be able to afford him anymore lol..

i guess i should be happy if JD's ratings came down a bit if that coincides with his salary demands....and if u win the next 4WS, wouldnt Altuve's value skyrocket?
