Really, third base? I'd bet on him moving to second. They've got Vitters coming up.

Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

Since the season is about to start, we were inquiring about Mike Olt and Jurickson Profar. We would like to trade for the both of them, and would like them to spend their whole seasons with the organization, so they could be familiar with their teammates. No one is off limits, except for maybe Satrlin Castro, but all we want is a fair trade. Please get back to us quickly!

      Sincerely,
Kirk Plum, gm of the Chicago Cubs

(by the way using OSFM rosters. I expect you are too, just making sure!)

Profar is better than Castro defensively already man. Castro get's the reputation as a future gold glove caliber player because of his arm and athletic ability.

No...........highly doubtful Vitters makes any huge MLB impact anytime soon with the Cubs.

Thanks for all your help! By the way, are you guys using OSFM opening day or OSFM spring training rosters? The spring training is from knight165, and the opening day is from ridindwnkingsley

Wow really? I didn't know that. I always knew Castro's main draw was his bat but I guess he might pull an A-Rod later in his career and go to 3rd

Similar, but he might not ever reach the defensive caliber of Alex. I think the move to 3rd is inevitable. Unless he makes some huge improvements, he's just hurting himself. He puts a lot of pressure on himself, and it's becoming very evident. Errors come in bunches with him, he just needs to learn to move on after a mishandle.

Very true, I watched him when they played the Phillies and he dives for so many balls he's just putting so much stress on his body he's going to get hurt. Especially since the Cubs have Lake and Baez I think they'll move Castro the more I think about it. Also, not sure if anyone saw my earlier post but I noticed no one is representing the Phillies and I have been a long time fan and would love to help out as much as I can, but like I said in my other post, I'm just not quite sure how well I would do.

Bourn and Jurrjens are still on the block. We fill like either one of these players could be a good franchise player for your team for years to come. We are currently leading the division and trying to stay strong during this playoff push. We would like to aquire a "win now" type shortstop to help us with this push. Any and all offers are welcome and would like to hear back on what kind of offers you may have.

RE: Response to Kendrys Morales trade

Morgan hit over .300 last season, can steal bases, and can play all 3 outfield positions. I will tell you that he does struggle with lefthanded pitching.

Kottaras can hit right handed pitching with power and is a solid defensive catcher. He does struggle against lefthanders but we all know that there are more righthanded pitchers than lefthanded pitchers anyway. (I figure that you could play Conger against lefties and Kottaras against righties for a nice platoon.) Kottaras' average has been a little low the past couple of seasons but that will climb with more plate appearances. He just has not received much playing time due to the emergence of Jonathan Lucroy.

                              Hope that helps fellas!
