RE James Shields Trade
Carlos Pena is 33 and so is Luke Scott. Pena- .296 38 hr 118 h 94 RBI
Scott- .284 27 hr 112 h 63 RBI
Both are in last year of deals. If Pena is included, we might need 1 additional prospect to Salcedo.
Best regards,
Kirk Plum, Rays GM
From: Braves assistant GM
Subject: shields
With the situation that has occurred and the fact that we are in a DH lineup. We have to make changes and fill holes NOW. with that said we will take Luke Scott and accept this trade.Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
I know I've already asked this, but would you guys prefer me to solely focus on a Phillies franchise given the fact I'm the Phillies GM?Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
Whatever you feel like. The main thing is knowing the phillies organization ,and you obviously do, so whatever you feel like.Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
EDIT: I do want to continue my Pirates franchise. I just feel like I'm the only GM not doing a franchise with the team they are representing. So I will start to progress in my Phillies franchise as well. I tmay be hard to get deep into both though since I play a lot of games. Maybe I could only sim the Phillies franchise and play the pirates one?Last edited by bwoodring9; 05-30-2012, 05:21 PM.Comment

RE:Carlos Pena
Under no circumstances do I see the Reds giving up those two players. We already gave up a lot for Mat Latos including our #2 Catcher prospect, so to give up our future C for a rental is not going to happen. Billy Hamilton there may be some wiggle room there depending on how Cozart is playing at SS and if we plan on not resigning Phillips in the off-season. Pena is not a priority at 1B with future HOF Votto on the bag.
Thanks

Subject: Trade Talks
I'm sorry, but we are just not seeing eye to eye here. We stated we will not let go of Rizzo or Jackson. We are closing trade talks for now. We'll get back to you when we feel like we can propose something and have both sides clear on what's going on.Comment

RE: Pena
By NO MEANS was I saying to send both. I just looked at all the teams rosters and picked a couple young players that intrigued me. I don't expect both Hamilton and Mesocaro. I would have to look at stats, and find a trade that worked. I just wanted to know teams that were interested. If you want, you can come at me with an offer, and we can go from there!
