If we were to give up Alvarez, we may want another piece back depending on if you would be willing to give someone else up.

I think for Marte and Alvarez we'd be willing to give up Nova and possibly a C Potential position player. Maybe someone like Corban Joseph?

      To: Yankees GM
      From : Pirates
      RE: Nova

We would be willing to do that. So the final offer would be as follows:

      Pirates Give:
      Pedro Alvarez
      Starling Marte

      Yankees Give:
      Ivan Nova
      Corban Joseph

In case you're wondering, Joseph's stats are: .302 7 HR 20 RBI in AAA.

      -The Pittsburgh Pirates

EDIT: I try and keep my franchise realistic, meaning for the most part I like to try and keep the team together, but I most likely wasn't going to resign Alvarez and maybe even Marte at the end of the year. So I like to think this trade offer would realisticaly benefit both sides

I'm not sure were ready to give up Garza quite yet. Dempster would be the main pitcher were trying to deal right now. If garza is dealt it would be more towards july.

                OK, last proposal:

                Sanchez, Nicolino and McGuire
                For
                Garza

I'm willing to overpay, but this is about as far as I'll go. To be honest, you should be thinking about dealing Garza right now. In my opinion, you guys need a rebuild.

We are willing to deal Garza. However, he has been our only consistent pitcher. We are rebuilding, but we aren't willing to completely throw in the towel yet. Matt may be part of our rebuilding process, as he's a great teammate. As of right now, we are more so trying to deal our players we know aren't in our plans. Ryan has been a good pitcher for a long time and we wouldn't ask for much for him. We want to give him a chance at a playoff appearance with a good team. Ryan only has this year on his contract and maybe a B starter and a C prospect would be all we'd ask for. Let me know what you think, mainly because you lost Halladay until August.

1, I'm only going to give up one or two C's for Dempster. I'd much prefer Garza. 2, how in God's name did we get Halladay back?

Oh damn, you're with the Jays. I thought you were the Phillies rep. I think Ryan would fit in and be your number 2 or 3. Let me check and see if you have any injuries or struggling pitchers. We might also be able to include Soriano if you want a bat. He has been playing well this year.

... I don't even know how that happened... LOL this is actually pretty funny....

2 or 3? No way lol.... He'd be a half decent #5, we have Romero, Morrow, Drabek, and Alvarez..... I'd really like Garza, HE'D be a #2. How's Soriano doing?

Romero is doing well, Morrow has an ERA above 7, Drabek is 0-2 with a 9+ ERA, Alvarez is 0-1 with a 5+ ERA. With the way Dempster has pitched this year in real life, he'd be your 2 or 3 this year. With an offense, Dempster would be considered an All Star this year. Soriano is hitting .274 with 3 HR's and 12 RBI's in 13 games.

You aren't that far into the season yet..... so I wouldn't be making AllStar claims. And in real life? Not even close.

I'm offering you three B's for Garza. That's pretty expensive. You in?
