Well, my first franchise I restarted after 18 games to go to Timing/Classic. (I'd only issued 9 walks in 18 games, and was dominant on Pulse.)

My 2nd franchise was started on 1.16 and then patched to 1.21. Freezing issues by game 15.

Now, I'm currently 4-9. So total ACTUAL franchise games minus testing... 46... but now I feel my franchise is perfect as far as gameplay and getting close to realistic stats, and no more freezing!

There is nothing more fulfilling in a sports video game than every-game play, though. I know it has to be a sense of personal pride whenever you look at your best hitters average and can go "That .360 is all MINE!"

I didn't get into "every-pitch" till about 6 years..just so hard to go back -- even though I know I'd get like 25-30 years in playing "play one-sim five!"

Not even if you had a roster set with a CAP for Correa.

Thats sucks that you had a freeze, I've been lucky so far. I started mine right after OSFM Spring training came out and havn't looked back. I had to go back to classic and timing too. Pulse was way to easy for me and was just kinda annoying.

I agree I have to play every single pitch otherwise I'm like what the heck Mauer's average went down 3 points that wasn't my fault! Haha but The Show is so great that every game is just as enjoyable as the last.

I actually love the Pulse *idea*... but the fact that you can't adjust effort and that it needs slidering or intense difficulty levels is a flaw...I know at least 4 of those 9 walks in the prior franchise were intentional, so...

And about the Mauer average, that's exactly me... "those stats aren't mine!" and I wouldn't feel right, and I'd be restarting constantly... when MVP 05 and its subsequent mods came out, I never looked back. Once I knew I had a game with the depth and stability to handle it, every-pitch franchise became my norm...

                                Topic: Wandy Rodriguez

Since we last talked you have now taken over first place in your division, although your record is still at an unimpressive 38-38. You have a 2.5 game lead over the Royals, 3.5 over the White Sox, and 4 over the Indians. The main problem in your team is pitching. You currently rank last in team ERA: Verlander is 4-9 with a 4.74 ERA in 100.2 IP; Fister is 4-5 with a 3.44 ERA in 102 IP; Scherzer is 7-5 with a 4.47 ERA in 94.2 IP; Porcello is 7-4 with a 4.97 ERA in 92.1 IP; Smyly is 3-6 with a 4.22 ERA in 89.2 IP. Also your bullpen has been very suspect (if you need their numbers ill get them for you).

Since the last time we talked, Wandy has just been great. his stats look like this:
                                6-4 record/110.1 IP/2.94 ERA/70 Ks/13 BB/1.03 WHIP/.234 avg against.
He has recently had a couple of great starts, 2 weeks ago he shut down the best team in baseball, the Texas Rangers, through 8 innings and earned a win. His great performance has made him a hot commodity in this trading deadline and we have received a lot interest from various teams who are contending, but since we already had partaken in a deal previously, we feel it's right to begin trade talks with your team.

                                This is our initial proposal:
                                Tigers receive
SP Wandy Rodriguez (33 y/o) ($7M per year for 2 more years) (6-4 2.94 ERA)

                                Astros receive
                                SP Casey Crosby (B potential 23 y/o) (In AAA: 7-3/2.89 ERA/99.2 IP/69 Ks/1.24 WHIP/18 BB/.270 avg against)
                                RP Al Albaquerque (B potential 25 y/o) (In the majors: 3-0/5.34 ERA/28.2 IP/31 Ks/15 BB/1.64 WHIP/.274 avg against)
                                3B Audy Ciriaco (C potential 25 y/o) (In AAA: .231 avg/5 HR/22 rbi/11 SB)
                                TO: Houston Astros Organization
                                FROM: Detroit Tigers Organization

                                RE: Proposed Wandy/Crosby trade.

We are definitely interested in this deal, but we wonder if any of our other relievers other than Al A. would tickle your fancy... we are very high on Al here, and would consider him the jewel of this deal, even if you consider Crosby the jewel of it.

It wouldn't be a stalling point, but we'd wonder if we have any other options you'd be interested in...

Just trying to simulate the feelings of Leyland and Dave D. on this -- they really, really like Al!

To be clear, I think its a fair trade on its face and you could do it with confidence and approval... I just think the Tigers would try to give up a different bullpen arm (almost anyone other than he or Schlereth, I'd say...)

Either way, thanks as always for the in-depth amount of information provided in this negotiation. Always a pleasure working with you!
