    Dan,

Here's where we stand as a organization. We are currently in the end of May with the 1st edition of the OSFM Minor Rosters. I decided when I chose to do this I would do the trades on my end as well. Having said that. Here is my list of untouchables.

    1)Weaver
    2)Trumbo
    3)Pujols
    4)Trout
    5)Burjous
    6)Morales

I know some don't go the route as untouchables, but I do.

My season plans are to deal Haren and at least Hunter by the deadline. Wells is actually working for me, so will probably hold onto him and move him to right then bring Trout up next year cause he didn't produce jack in April. With Haren and Hunter I am looking for a Wieters type catcher (A pot. 20-23 range), and a future OF ( A/B potential 19-21 range).

So Dan if you have something that meets our desires, offer up. Have a good day.

    Yours Truly,

    Jerry Dipoto

Not to intrude here, but as a Jays fan I kinda need to say this....

I'd put Vernon in LF, unless you're putting Bourjos there. Vernon has the glove for LF, and a plus arm for left, but a below average arm for RF. Also, don't give up Haren on the cheap. He was once traded for Carlos Gonzalez and 5 or 6 other guys...

    Just my two cents.

I agree with you. I couldn't decide Trout in RF or CF.

      AC,

If you have noticed I have been pretty hard to meet on trade demands. I would say the closest I came was my last Trout offer with you.

I figured that was because you were negotiating a franchise player.... Haren's an ace, though, so I'd expect at LEAST an A and two B's, if he's sucking. If he's doing well, two A's and a B.

It might be more effective if you give stats and attributes instead of just listing the player names.

We know that you've been trying to get rid of Vernon Wells and Torii hunter because of their bad contracts. We were just wondering if there were any other bad contracts you were looking to Unload?

                RE: Proposed Wandy/Crosby trade.

We understand your reluctance in including Albaquerque into the deal.

However, we would still like to try to persuade you, and manager Leyland , to let him go. I think that if I was to add Brett Myers into the deal, that would soften the blow for you guys. Myers is currently in 3rd place in the NL in saves with 24. He has an ERA of 4.30 and 29 Ks in 29.1 innings. He has been really hot as of late. We believe that with Myers you are receiving an upgrade over Alb who has a 5.34 ERA, and he could also slide right into the setup role, replacing Benoit who has a 4.73 ERA.

If after reading this you are still unwilling to trade Albaquerque, we could ask for something else, but understand that we really need a young bullpen arm who can help us right now.

Thanks for your time, we will be waiting for a response.

                  RE: Possible Trade

We are contacting you to ask if you would be interested in our trade offer which includes Domonic Brown, Kyle Kendrick, and Jesse Biddle from our organization, and your organization is giving us Nick Castellanos. The season has yet to start, so we will be providing you with last year's stats as well as attributes for the players involved going into Spring Training. Our organization has lost a lot of faith in Brown's ability to progress into a real franchise player, and we think he needs a change of scenery. That being said, he is still very young and many scouts still regard him as a top prospect. In 2011, Brown played in AA, AAA, and the Majors for us. In AA, he hit .368 with 2 HR and 4 RBI in 19 ABs (5 games.) Shortly after, we promoted him to AAA, and he hit .261 with 3 HR and 15 RBI in 138 ABs (41 games). In the Majors, he hit .245 with 5 HR and 19 RBI in 184 ABs (56 games). Going into Spring training we converted him to LF, but he is still a RF at heart. His contact is pretty mediocre as you can see from his average, and it is about the same against righties and lefties. His power is at about the same spot his average is, but he has much more against righties than lefties. Domonic also has very good plate discipline but he is still working on his plate vision. He also has great speed. His baserunning ability isn't quite there yet but we feel he will learn with more experience. His fielding is middle of the road, with a pretty good reaction time to balls hit his way, and decent arm strength and accuracy. Kendrick can provide your team with either some long relief depth from the bullpen, or even man the 5th spot in the rotation if need be. In 2011, Kendrick pitched both out of the rotation and in the bullpen. He appeared in 34 games, and started 15 with total a record of 8-6. He had 114.2 IP with a WHIP of 1.22 and an ERA of 3.22. He had 59 K's and 30 BB's. Kendrick has the stamina to pitch in the rotation if you need him to, and can also pitch in the bullpen as I stated earlier. This makes him a valuable asset to have because he has playoff experience from both the rotation and the bullpen, and we know your organization is looking for veterans with playoff experience. Jesse Biddle is one of our top pitching prospects behind Trevor May and Brody Colvin. He's 20 years old with good size, 6'4 225 LBS, and is also a lefty. In 2011, he pitched in Single A, with a record of 7-8 and a 2.98 ERA. He appeared in 25 games and started 24. He had 133.0 IP with a WHIP of 1.28. He had 124 K's and 66 BB's. Going into Spring Training, our primary focus for him is to limit his walks. He does struggle with control a bit but we feel he has the stuff and work ethic to turn that around. He also has the stuff to possibly become as high as a #2 starter because of his strikeout potential. From your organization, we want Nick Castellanos. Castellanos hit .312 with 7 HR and 76 RBI in 507 ABs (135 games played). Going into Spring Training, Nick's contact against both righties and lefties is extremely high for his age, but his power is about the same as Brown's. Nick has decent plate discipline and vision and is a mediocre fielder, but we want him for his offensive ability. We really need a young 3rd baseman to take over for Polanco as he is getting up there in age, and we think Nick can learn a lot from Polanco as well. We also feel as if your organization has the best corner infield combo in the league with Prince and Miguel, so we don't think Nick really has anywhere to play in the years to come for your team. To put the offer into a more condensed fashion, our offer is:

                  Phillies Give:
Domonic Brown- 24 year old OF D overall A potential
                  Kyle Kendrick - 27 year old RP/SP C overall C potential
Jesse Biddle - 20 year old SP D overall B potential
May I also add that Biddle was our first round pick in 2010, so we are still very high on him.

                  Tigers Give:
Nick Castellanos- 20 year old 3B C overall A potential

                  Respectfully,
                  THE Philadelphia Phillies

Oh, that's right, I sent Alvarez down. I've got to stop taking Theo Epstein up on his offer to hit the bars. Based on our record at this time, Casey's performance & contract status, and Pedro's reappearance from the Springfield Mystery Spot, I'm willing to deal McGehee for a mid-level (B-pot) infield or pitching prospect. I might be willing to take a player with a little less upside if he's closer to contributing in the majors.

Unfortunately, I was not able to review our scouting data on your club last night. If you have a chance today to throw a few names at me along with some info, I should be able to give you an answer this evening. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Im sorry to inform you of this, but as of now I am calling off negotiations as there was some issues on my part at the start of my franchise so i will be starting over when scotts rosters come out

Yeah, I saw in the Astros thread you were thinking of starting over. No worries, you probably would have ended talks once I started asking for one of Cosart, Clemens, or Deshields. Neal Huntingdon doesn't mess around!
