Re: Those get up and yell moments...

I just had a pretty magical moment in my Yankees franchise.

I lost game 1 of the ALDS 4-1 to the White Sox. So in game 2 I give up 2 runs with my starter, and than another 2 runs with a reliever... so it's 4-nothing.

In the bottom of the 6th and I score four runs to tie it up. After a few scoreless innings, it gets to the bottom of the 9th with 1 out. I get a single with Ibanez and work the count to 2-2 with Jayson Nix, and proceed to get a single barely over the third baseman. So with one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Russel Martin is up.

Currently 0-3, I'm just hoping he doesn't hit into a DP.. I hit a deep fly ball in the gap and immediately know the game is won, but the ball hits the very top of the wall and bounces into the bullpen, for a walk off 3-run homer.

Playoff mode is gonna be great in '13

My get up and yell moment:

Heading into the bottom of the ninth of a franchise game, David Price was throwing a no-hitter against me. It was 4-0, I had never had a no-hitter thrown against me, and I was a nervous wreck. Price was pretty tired, so I decided to be as patient as possible, and I drew walks with Ackley and Seager. My third hitter, Justin Smoak, ripped a hard line drive, but it went right to the first baseman. One out. My next hitter, Jesus Montero, rolled a soft grounder to the shortstop, who easily threw him out for the second out. So we have runners on 3rd and 2nd, 2 outs, and I still don't have a hit. Casper Wells stepped up next and worked a walk on five pitches, loading the bases for Eric Thames. On the very first pitch, I crushed a fastball up and away about as hard as I've ever hit a ball in a mode outside of Home Run Derby. The ball ended up going 490 feet and tied the game at 4-4.

I went crazy and started jumping around my apartment. My girlfriend even sucked up her hate for video games and gave me a high five. I ended up winning the game in the 13th inning on a soft single to center by Franklin Gutierrez that scored Brendan Ryan. That was cool, but that ninth inning will forever be the most intense video game experience of my life.

Re: Those get up and yell moments...

Every single time I play this game I get one of these moments. Whether it's from a cheap hit that my fielder could of gotten to or I hit a big homer to help my team win.

I just had a pretty awful moment in game 4 of the same ALDS with the White Sox.

So both CC Sabathia and John Danks pitch 8 scoreless innings. In the top of the 9th I get a single with Cano and pull a sacrifice bunt with Teixeira to get Cano to second. The current relief pitcher is a righty so I pinch hit Brett Gardner instead of letting A-rod bat.

So after fighting off a few pitches, Gardner hits a pop fly in foul territory. Jayson Nix is up with 2 outs, and ends up striking out to end the top half of the inning. After CC gave up of a single and a walk, I put in Rivera in the bottom of the 9th with 1 out..

I end up getting in a 3-0 jam with Pierzynski, and have to throw a strike... 2SFB low and inside, and of course AJ blasted it for a walk off 3-run homer...

Game 5 is in New York so I still have a chance.
