I do agree they should all be labeled. That was the problem with the fas before the cpu was not tagging them correctly. Still no label for controlable players not on 40 man. I'll send an email to Aaron about that for next year. Forgot it for this year.

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
I have a question as far as branding is concerned, mostly falls into the editor. I've heard about the new nike pro combat shirts, but what about the "nike" brand on cleats & batting gloves? It doesn't bother me much but I would like to know in what other ways has branding been incorporated?Comment

Baseball is THE game for statistics, we need to have the ability to store indepth Franchise/Season statistics. Maybe have the option that allows us to store basic (less HD space), up to "All" statistics (more HD space).
I would be willing to use as much space as needed to track my Franchises history, which would include newer sabermetric statistics.Comment

It may be PS4 only in this area though as they are simply out of room.
I don't know if they could allow a data dump to the HDD like you suggested though.
I have asked for that in a way so that we can print at least...but no go.

I'm sure this will be a main focus for '14.

When you say out of room what are you referring to? The save file size, bluray disc size, what?Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
So is storage space really an issue with this? I can't imagine statistics being a gigantic file. Maybe just another save file type or piggyback onto the franchise file. It would take space, but would it really be that much space?

So how does the statistics affect that? Do all of the stats really need to be loaded into ram at all times?Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
Think of it this way - a console is essentially a computer. When you have too many background processes running at once, your RAM usage spikes, the computer starts to slow down, and the hardware starts to get unbearably hot. Max out your RAM usage and you get the Blue/Black Screen of Death... Same thing will happen to the PS3.Last edited by seanjeezy; 01-29-2013, 07:24 PM.Bakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

Hide all the historical and advanded stats on another menu that has a load. I wouldn't care. As long as we get them who really cares how they do it.
There are ways to work around limitations with any system, be it a computer or mechanical machine.Comment

And why exactly is this to be avoided? I've seen games do in-line loading before. I'd rather have to load a menu that contains xFIP, than not have xFIP at all (random example but you get what I'm saying. It could just load relevant lines... eg: if 10 lines of stats fit on the page/screen, load 13 (the 10 on screen, 3 up, 3 down. Or whatever.Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
I'm talking about the type of stats that was asked about above, which I assume are either more detailed or historical stats for franchise. Couldn't they just only display the recent stats or the ones they think are important to see easily on the menus, but still have those stats saved to the franchise file.

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
A common theme I see in your posts is wanting something that would be hard to pull off with the current hardware, but should be ridiculously easy to implement in the next gen consoles... Can't you just wait a year?
Lol don't ask me I'm not the one designing the game... It's gonna be a non-issue when the PS4 rolls around so I could care less as long as there is an increase of stats in the future.
Just because something is hard to do doesn't mean its unjustifiable to ask for, or that it is something that should only be done when its easy to do so.
I ask for things that are hard to do because I love the game. I wan't it to be better as it can always be better. Look at the scorebug callout that just got in. That is awesome. Not saying that is anywhere as hard to implement as the stats. But users wanted it and it got noticed, even if it took a while for it to get fully noticed. The more users ask for something the higher the chance someone takes notice.
We understand the limitations, but that doesn't stop us from wanting a better game.Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
Long time reader first time poster!!! Was wondering if in this years game if there was any incentive for varying times when a pitcher comes set to throwing home. Varying your looks and pauses is a huge way to slow down the run game. Would think this would be a small addition that would give the game even more realism. For instance if you vary your looks would allow you to pick guys off more and allow the runner on first to get worse jumps.Comment
