I have a question pertaining to franchise mode. Sadly I just remembered this and didn't post it as a suggestion for franchise mode. For all I know though, with 49 pages of content someone probably did suggest or ask about it.

So anyway forgive me if it's been asked. Are offseason transactions now viewable during the offseason like they are during the season? This way with 30 team control I can go through the offseason and look over the trade proposals that have been made. In 12 when Spring Training hits I normally look at the transactions and find some trades I'm not overly satisfied with. This forces me to trade back the players to their old teams. I just wish I could accept or reject it once the proposal is made during the offseason.

Transactions in the offseason are stil "under the hood" I don't really know why. I would like at least a prompt telling me x was traded for y.

I'm not sure if this will be covered when more information comes out on changes to Franchise mode, but does anyone know if potentials can still change? In past years you'd receive an e-mail stating Player A's stock is rising and their potential would move up a notch. Before we all start working on OSFM, I thought it would be nice to know if that is still possible. Thanks!

So uhh...now that we have the scoop on this Twitter thing... what exactly will take the place of the axed newspaper in Franchise mode? Will we still be within easy access of events, game results, etc... within our fake franchise?

Lots of MLB.com integration this year, maybe something similar to their homepage, with L1/R1 scrolling through team pages?

I love how NBA 2k does it, so if its along those lines I'll be happy. The newspaper, while it served a purpose, pales in comparison to what NBA 2k's news outlet offers.

I actually liked the newspaper better than the 2k system, because the 2k system doesn't actually generate articles, or even opinions on things. It's simply a headline and a picture.

Is it easier at all resign controlled players? Last years the way the game handled it was a bit confusing.

I'm curious about this as well. I don't recall a way in 2012 where you could resign a guy on your team during the season. Say I wanted to re-up with a guy who would be a free agent at the end of the year, not sure that was possible and if it isn't it should be.

I was referring to resigning in the offseason a player that is still under team control (low service time). Extensions were confirmed to not be in this year which is. Really would add a lot to the mode.

That's a pretty fair guess. I saw all the way to 2028, but I didn't look at the teams vs. opposite league in particular. Sorry.

Nothing in terms of a newspaper or news style pages. There are some new front end(menu) boxes that will give you league wide info...and the front end ticker will display trades/injuries/call ups now(league wide).
But there is nothing in regards to specific game by game news style articles like in the newspaper(which I really liked and wish would have stayed ....maybe in an html style format instead. Hopefully we see something that is a daily news feed similar to the paper make it back in.

No in season signings.....tabarnes asked them if they could put in some sort of designation to who is under team control(there is the arbitration/contract renewable signification)....but it was tight.

are players attributes affected at all by how they perform in Spring Training?
