Are any of the new franchise options season length? I hate simming games but like the shorter seasons to get a few years into franchise. Even season mode with changing schedules year to year would be fine, since it had the option for short seasons and was basically franchise minus the detailed financial stuff, if the schedule wasn't exactly the same every season in that mode.

You might already be able to answer this Knight. If not i am sure you'll check on it while at CD. Can we edit potential and service time this year when creating a player or editing the fake ones?Comment

Something that MIGHT be a reality for next year.
I can ask Lorne_SCEA to give us some fake/editable players with varying service times though.

Okay thanks. Yeah that worked wonders last year when editing players especially ones who already had service time.Comment

Alright this is my last question and it pertains to the editor. When editing a fake player or creating one can you find out what the maximum amount of characters can be used for last names? For example in MLB 12 when giving a player the last name "Hollingsworth" The game only allows you to use 10 characters therefor it would be spelled "Hollingswor" yet the last name database has "Hollingsworth" in it. Just wanted to know if they've expanded on the amount of charcters that can be used when creating a last name if that makes sense.Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
Please ask if there is any chance of them allowing players to play an entire series (meaning 3 or 4 games against an opponent) without having to exit out to the menus btwn each game. If the system could just temporarily save the stats for each game and add them all to the database at the end of the series, then it would allow us to get through a season much quicker. The load times are killing me. For Franchise and for RTTS.
Thanks.Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
Knight, I know this may be totally out of the question, but is too far for the SCEA team to go (legally) to add players with service time and stats already that are editable? So maybe for the players that didn't play in MLB last year they would put in their service time and stats and allow us to edit that player? I don't know if that goes against the rules or not, but it would help roster makers a ton.Comment

This is just my guess...but it seems as though the original roster is "locked" and can be looked at by the MLB...but subsequent players added are a little more lax in the checking area and that's when we get a player that is editable.
I can ask though...and will.

This is correct...if a pitcher is injured in game...whomever you bring in to replace him is automatically warmed up.
(if you mean throw warm up pitches to adjust yourself to a new motion....is that in for regular replacement?)

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
Since the 2k contract is no longer exclusive SECA may be able to use real MLBPA contracts (does 2k have real contracts I thought they did), it may be worth mentioning. Maybe they need an exclusive MLB deal though to use them? Still I think it would be worth checking.Comment
