This would be a editor question. Did they add any audio files for last names with a suffix. For example if i was Creating Jackie Bradley Jr. of the Red Sox will they have an audio file last name as Bradley Jr.? If that makes sense. Other examples Robinson Jr. Williams Jr. Thompson III ETC.......

This might no longer be applicable with the changes to Franchise mode, but it used to be that when you started a franchise with a fantasy draft, the AI teams would wind up with obscene amounts of excess cash (post #183) while your team would have a fraction of what the top teams did. The Fund Comparison screen was completely out-of-whack with franchises started with the regular rosters and no fantasy draft.

Is excess cash still an issue when starting with a fantasy draft? I always wanted to start with a draft, but opted against it because this bug made it patently unfair.

Please note that I never checked for this bug in MLB '12, but I assumed it was still present.

No one else cares enough to spend 15 seconds to ask about this? The 2k contract is no longer exclusive, it's worth asking about.

EVERYTHING in this thread will be brought up to the devs.
            I've stated it many times!

              Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR

So this year I heard that a major focal point will be a newly revamped player progression engine in franchise that will by more dynamic.

The fact sheet didn't delve into any detail.

              Can anyone expand?

Eww, good one. Can we edit players in the draft (thus replicating real life picks)? Even better, can we use the roster vault in Dynasty to accomplish this?? That'd be insane ...

I would love to know those answers if they can give them I think I covered a lot of what people have asked about the past two years. Especially if we can edit the draft players and the managers, the managers in historic rosters and create their face would be great!! I had one more Knight:

Did MLB allow us to use retired numbers this year when editing/creating players?

                    Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR

any chance that the spring training has gotten or is capable of getting attention, These teams should Not be putting there 25 man roster and top 5 rotation pitchers in the starting lineup every single day for the whole entire month. There is no point in even playing ST when this is the case.

I was told already the intention behind this is to basically give players a mulligan month and round out 1 or maybe 2/3 position choices. I hope then that this is an easily fixable programming thing because the point of ST is to use prospects, give them to oppurtunity to make a spot in the 25, make a good showing and earn a potential shot at getting called up down the road. Also, for my evaluation to see how far off they are from readiness in the MLB.

I use ST to give a lot of attention to these kind of guys and so should the AI because even their information is valuable to keep track of, especially with this new player progression focus for 13'. But instead they always have to go up against full MLB veteran roster and sometimes I just can't catch a break. But more so than that, it just feels unrealistic all the way around and makes ST feel amost like a waste of time.

I hope there is time to structure this Spring Training around realism or at least quasi realism this time.

I missed the fact sheet and somehow missed the push/pull hitting system. This has gotten me very excited, but I am curious to how it will be implemented.

                        - Will you be able to edit players and change this? Will it be determined by your actual in game spray chart or can you change it yourself. This would be pretty sad for me if it was just for real life players with spray chart data provided.

                        - If this hasn't been asked already, will players retire in a realistic way FINALLY!? I am so sick of seeing Arod leave MILLIONS on the table after a 30+ HR year, or 35 year old players coming off great years retiring because of age.

I got that much, but how will it be determined for players that do not have it already associated with them.

For example in MLB 13 David Ortix might be labeled a pull hitter based on his data. This is based on his spray chart I assume.

How will other types of players' push/pull be determined? Random? Will only current MLB players have this associated with them or will all players including RTTS ones at least have a push/pull associated with them.

Hey Knight, I am an old guy like you or should I say a little more experienced in life. I also play MOM. Can you check and see if there is anything different in this years mode then the past as far as the computer interacting without our input. Love the mode, and controlling my team through MOM.

Can someone go into greater detail as to the player progression refinement they've added in this year's franchise?

How is it different? How has it changed?

It was mentioned briefly in the fact sheet, but with absolutely no detail.
