Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
I know this isn't realistic at all but do u think eventually we could see steroid integration in the game lol? I mean its still a problem, and I think that suspensions and stuff is one glaring void in the game. People like a rod are always being scrutinized in real life and in the game there is no such problem. It's a problem I can live with but that would b sooooo sick if they included it. Also create a stadium and uniform editor would b cool I'd love to create new alternates for different teams and stuff
(Unless you count the training points you can purchase for RTTS)Comment

You can access the stats when playing the game from the statistics option, also player cards I believe.Comment

He's laden with a big contract and few teams would be willing to take it on.
Once he starts sliding....you're(LA) is stuck with him.
Perhaps in his final year of the contract...but I don't know.

Last year would be impossible to move. I think he is making in game like 23 million. His overall will be low. I doubt a team would take that on and have any budget room. Like real life probably would have to just cut.Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
I can't remember if it has been answered, so apologies if it has. Do teams sign players to contract extensions, during the season or off season, while the player is still under team control?
It's interesting to hear some "experts" say that big name free agents may not hit the market as often in the coming years, especially pitchers, due to the revenue sharing of team TV deals across the league. This is bringing in an influx of monies to all teams, even the poor ones. In turn it will allow them to sign their own players, instead of not being able to afford them, and trading them/letting them hit FA.Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
In real life, team(s) are also allowed to finalize a trade without finalizing all the players involved. So let's say I really need Brad Pitt, and I'm offering Kevin Bacon for him. You think he's worth two players and I agree, but we can't really decide who the second player should be. So I just say whatever, I really want Brad Pitt now, just send him here, and I'll give you Kevin Bacon. Then in a few weeks we will worry about this other guy, and I'll send him over. That other guy is the "player to be named later," or PTBNL.
Then somewhere down the line I realize I really don't want Lindsay Lohan on my team, and I call you up and you agree to take him as the PTBNL.
Keep in mind the trade deadline is July 31st. Through this method, this deal could be done on July 30th, and I get Brad Pitt, even though you don't get Lohan until sometime in August.
Now don't ask me why I used actors instead of actual players.Comment

In real life, a team is allowed to trade a player for cash... New York Mets receive Brad Pitt, and the Los Angeles Dodgers receive 4 million dollars, or something similar.
