Has anything changed with dropped 3rd strike? Is it still a throw to first or have they added a new animation of the catcher tagging the runner out?

This reminds me about how you can jam on the stick and get the catcher to lunge out and tag hitters before they even start going to first on dropped 3rd striked. Is this still present in the game as well? Its more of an issue in online games where people do this every dropped 3rd strike.

On another note, has it been said yet how switch hitters will be represented in the game as it pertains to the push/pull system. It never crossed my mind until I looked at the hit chart in MLB 12 for my switch hitting RTTS player.

Will the in game hit chart only show their chart as it relates to their current batting side? So if a pull hitting switcher hitter is batting left handed it would show 20/30/50 and if right handed 50/30/20. And not 33/34/33.

All my dropped 3rd strikes were throws to first. There are new animations on throws to first from the catcher. Did not see any specific tag animations from the catcher tagging the batter.

Thanks, maybe someone else noticed? I can see the switch hitter chart being sort of weird in game its doesn't show the split. A minor thing, but for those who want to look at the chart and adjust their defense, since I think Russell said the AI defense wouldn't adjust to the push/pull...right, it might be a bit deal.

Add option to switch Analog swing from right stick to left stick?

I completely forgot to ask this, but meant to.

At wrigley field can players still climb the wall on home run balls as if it was not the wrigley wall? As in they scale it like a padded wall and clip through the basket to catch a ball.

Also on hit balls, do they ever clip through the basket? I remember a few cases where a high fly ball would seem to go right through the basket and then hit the wall underneath it instead of landing in the basket and being ruled a home run.

I never thought about the possible struggles a left hander could face with the controllers... That's a great point. All I know is I'm right handed

Holding the controller rotated by 180 degrees might work...

Haha. Trust me, i tried that. I have even held the right stick like a mini joystick by holding it with my thumb & index finger, feels unnatural. I mean its not like i cant use it with my right hand but my reaction time is off. Maybe with the timing window more open i can be more successful at it this year but it still will feel off being lefty. /rant

I just noticed this in a video that I just saw today.

Is this the throwing meter for the new control option? Or is it just how the normal meter looks now? If so any more details on it. I think the CD guys said more detailed info coming on this.

This sounds like something that should be done at the console system level.
