Re: Community Day 2013 - Stadiums - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
Any chance they removed the rusty water tower from batter view at Target Field?
As said before it isn't even in sight for batters and it also no longer has the Killebrew dressing. It is just a plain old rusty tower. Would be a little weird to see this in game this year. I mean I don't even care if they just take it out bam bam. It needs to go though as it is pretty prominent in the game and in real life is not viewable by the batter AFAIK.

As you can see in the first image the water tower first becomes visible a few rows back in the lower seating area.
In the second image on field there is clearly no room to see it.
Intelligent search from Bing makes it easier to quickly find what you’re looking for and rewards you.
It is way back there as you can see from that photo.Last edited by Unit303; 01-25-2013, 09:21 PM.Comment

Re: Community Day 2013 - Stadiums - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
I actually talked to the lead stadium guy about PNC, because I felt that it looked basically untouched. He took all the requests and was going to talk them over with the stadium artist. I did not get an update before I left though, but I know it was a priority.
Like I mentioned earlier, stadiums were close to being locked down and cityscape changes were pretty much out of the question, but he seemed to agree that Pittsburgh was way too dark. So it may get an exception. No promises.
Thanks for the effort and hopefully they'll have time to get some changes in. Thanks again!!!Comment

Thank you so much don't know how I missed that.
"One thing I noticed in this last rendering is that the dreaded "Players Trust" sign is back in left. I'm going to request it go back to the Minnesota script that's in MLB12."
This DEEPLY concerns me. I really hope they have not went back to that terribly awful sign because it would make this game a hard buy if so. Everything else seems to have been looked at.... not sure why this would have been changed except to spite me.
Maybe they were just clearing a hurdle for the last month of dev time before it went it. Thanks for putting a word in though. (prays)Last edited by Unit303; 01-25-2013, 09:31 PM.Comment

I will tell you that I checked and the tarp wasn't there. Bad news is that since its a collision entity on the playing field, chances are slim.

Thanks Chikiboy, and glad you asked about the new stadiums. Even tho the focus was on the major league stadiums and getting replicated as close as possible, I did make it a point to look at the new stadiums.
They are very well done. Basically each artist created one stadium, and gave it their own "thing" for a lack of a better term. I think you guys will really like them! I don't know if there will be a blog on these so I won't get too in depth, but my favorite has to be one called "Iron Horse Stadium" - totally unique and awesome, IMO. And there is one that could definitely pass as a newer Cactus League type stadium (can't remember the name sorry.) I didn't check to see what teams they were attached to (cactus league teams or not), and they were all still listed under the minor league category when we were there.
Would be sweet to get some of the facilities like Legends Field, JetBlu Park or some of the complexes in the Cactus League.Comment

The Progressive artist wasn't around unfortunately, but I did give all the info to the head stadium guy. I can't remember who posted the pics of the changes but that's what I have him, along with mentioning the still missing tarp.

Re: Community Day 2013 - Stadiums - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
Just curious if it was ever discussed why there couldn't be two versions of stadiums with a roof. Literally load in a different model for roof closed games and open ones. It wouldn't need to change during the game, but I can't seem to understand why there simply cant be a few extra stadiums in the game to facilitate this. I've heard the lighting issue discussed, but have they ever considered just having two stadium models for those stadiums?Comment
