SLAB, any news on the Rangers Ballpark?

I went over the requests with them. They had updated pics of the LED banners graphics, so hopefully they updated them. I know these are some of the last things to be put in.

As for the request for the foul ground changes, unless it was already done in the build we played, I doubt it will be added. I admit, I'm not familiar enough with Arlington to know if the walls had been moved in 2 feet.

There was another request about a new special seating section being added, but I had no picture to go by. Maybe you can provide pics and I can tell you if its in. I did a scan of the stadium trying to figure out where/what it could have been.

Hey Slab... it's definitely been impressive how you were able to relay the requests specific to each stadium and we appreciate how responsive you've been.

Did you have any specific updates to Turner Field you could pass along? I recall Smoltz' 29 being added to the retired numbers. Any chance of the K counter in right field getting a look at or a darker adjustment to the blue around the stadium?

Just curious if it was ever discussed why there couldn't be two versions of stadiums with a roof. Literally load in a different model for roof closed games and open ones. It wouldn't need to change during the game, but I can't seem to understand why there simply cant be a few extra stadiums in the game to facilitate this. I've heard the lighting issue discussed, but have they ever considered just having two stadium models for those stadiums?

I can guess one problem is they would not want to have to maintain multiple versions if the same stadium. Any future changes to that stadium would have to be copied in both versions of the ballpark.

Could be lessened maybe a little. They could take the closed model, update it and then remove the roof and make that the other model. I get why they don't do it, I' just want to know if the devs have considered it and as to why they chose not to do it.

It would be extra work, but stadium authenticity is a big part of the game and frankly I think its worth it even though I don't play many games in stadiums with roofs since I don't play as those teams. I understand those fans' frustration though as its so weird to not have the roof open when it is so common to see.

Did you get to see if they added the tarp To the 3rd base side at Citi Field? It's never been in the game and I'm just wondering if you got to check on that. I have a great picture.. I can't post pictures on here.. I can email it to you if you need it to send to them. Thanks a lot for your hard work and dedication to the Forums and game.

I did look at Citi but I wasn't looking for the tarp so I can't say yes or no, sorry. For Citi I was looking at the missing all-star logo and the reversed stairway on the left center porch.

Know that I do note all these things that come up after the fact, for next year. And plan to share that list earlier in the cycle for '14.

Fireworks are more of a presentation item. That said, I don't know if they are in. I seem to remember they were in past versions of the the game?

Again, considered a presentation item. I don't know about tomahawks, but they will have red rally towels now.

In the past, all teams had white.

No idea if this has been mentioned (or even noticed), but if you play at Stomp Ground Field (fictional minor league stadium), the huge green backdrop/hitter's eye thing temporarily blocks the screen in broadcast cam while pitching. This can be particularly tough when someone hits a weak popup behind home plate.

I did play a some innings at Stomp Ground with broadcast pitching cam, but I didn't get a pop behind the plate. So I can't confirm or deny... hopefully it was fixed in the standard collision scan of the stadium.

Ok 2 things I would like to see added to Roger's Centre in Toronto.

1. I don't have a picture but just past the 1st base dugout there is a small section that juts out onto the field called the TD Comfort Zone. It has big comfy green seats as well as a green wall that surrounds the section

I don't think these were updated. I didn't make a note that.they were, but if I got sidetracked I could have missed it.

2. I was able to find a pic for this one - The Level of Excellence that surrounds the 4th deck on each side of the Video Screen as far as the names go. It is basically the Jays way of honouring past stars. Here is a pic of one side of it.

This is in, minus the names (for legal reasons.) I think a "PG" is there though for Gillick.

We need a black net over monument park at Yankee Stadium...And have the elevated train which can be seen passing right field animate so it goes by every inning

The net created a collision issue with the camera at the beginning of the game. It was more trouble to create a separate cutscene for monument park, than to just leave it off. The elevated train now animates.

Scott, are you sure this is the picture? Unless I'm missing something the 2012 renovations are already in the game. Are you talking about this?

I don't think it's like an erector set where you can just pull it apart, redo something, and then put it back on. I've been known to work on fantasy stadium concepts in Google Sketch-up, and changing the simplest thing on the model can make everything go askew (and that's in rinky-dink Sketch-up; imaging what they go though with their system). My feeling is that the retractable roof ballparks were not meant to be closed in the first place.
