There is a new centerfield fan deck that's open seating and a bar-like atmosphere with tables, couches etc. From home plate, the distinctive orange umbrellas are easily visible above the batter's eye wall.

Also, vegetation no longer grows on the batter's eye at Camden since it died sometime last year.

Another big thing is the right field scoreboard near the flag court area was lowered. It's still standing room only out there, but now the scoreboard part is below the fans instead of halfway up their bodies. There's also fencing now.

Couldn't find a shot with people standing there, but you get the idea. That place is always hopping with people.

Also, there's a new Legends Park behind the bullpens that has the statues of Cal Ripken, Jim Palmer etc. While not that visible from home plate, it would be nice to get some shots of it in between innings or on long home runs out that way.
(All I could find online was a rendering of it, but it's pretty close to how things actually look.)

From the other Stadium Feedback thread... but, all these changes were made to OBPACY.

The one discrepancy is that the batter's eye ivy is still in the game, and I think it was removed in real life. Not sure if they plan to regrow it.

Also just a quick update, I can't locate the Marlins Park post, but I do have in my notes that the "M" logo was not removed from the grass behind home plate. I think the question was misinterpreted, sorry.

Thanks for giving us the nice update on OPACY, theSLAB! One more general question I have (might be more of a graphics question than a stadium question): do you know if the colors people are wearing in the stands have been adjusted at all?

Some stadiums have this right already, with the fans wearing predominantly team colors. OPACY is one that stands out like a sore thumb since it seems the crowd is primarily wearing white in past versions of the game. This (seemingly) small change could go a long, long way to making the ballpark and others with this problem feel more authentic.

              Re: Community Day 2013 - Stadiums - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries

I read through most of this thread. I have a couple things that citi field is lacking and I didn't see them mentioned.

The first is that in center field behinds the black batter's eye is a vendors building. That building is called the shake shack. On top of the building is the skyline lights that used to be on the scoreboard of the old Shea stadium. Since you still have that in the game, maybe it can be moved before you eliminate Shea as an old stadium. It's minor but is a part off the atmosphere at the new park.

The second is that there are still planes flying over citi field most nights like they did Shea. Another minor thing but you use it at Petco so it could be moved i hope.

The Carter 8 memorial in center I hope is added even though it might not be there for thus season. He was my favorite player growing up and it would be nice.

The final request is the home run apple was crooked last year. Also there is now a ring of neon around the logo that flashes when the apple raises for a home run.

Thank you for adding the right field corner video board and all the other small things that go into our immersion of your game. When you play this a couple hundred times and especially adding the sounds of the show it makes this game's replay value go through the roof. Thank you!

I did send an email letting them know about this, but chances are very slim that it will be removed. Like I said earlier, they've surprised us before though, so fingers crossed.

thaSLAB... quick question for you. Will you get to see any of the stadiums again before release or are you in anticipation to see what made the cut/what's been changed/etc. as well?

ThaSlab, How does Turner Field look this year? I'm pretty sure you posted about the lighting issues were fixed this year but how do the dugouts look this year, last year they were a bit stale. Just curious to if there were any additions.

I agree. No one mentions Citi field and it is stale.. Wish they could make the Pepsi sign out there instead of "the show", which doesn't match up at all.. It could say Cola. The shake Shack like you mentioned is not there. I don't recall there being seats on the Shea bridge. They're like tables and seats I think. In the RF corner there is that spot for the camera where no seats are.. And the 3rd base tarp is missing. Obviously I should've spoke about these earlier but I didn't want to get so picky as that's how you get looked at as a whiner. I've felt Citi was a little bland in the show. And the Sponsors are so repeated and bland in the staidum. I've seen other stadiums get sponsors or ones with colors matched in the stadiums, citi has too much bland and related sponsors. And many don't match up even color wise with what's there in real life.

I want to thank thaSlab and the devs in San Diego for all the effort you guys put into helping me to get Busch Stadium looking proper in the Show. This year is the largest jump in improvements this stadium has had, ever, and it has also taken a large chunk out of my write up and posting on the Show Nation forums for next year.

But it looks like this is just the beginning. The Cardinals have finally started preliminary construction and will have a ground breaking for Ballpark Village on my birthday.

ThaSlap. Last question about this. I just watched the pull/push hitter blog and noticed that Turner Fields outfield wall is still randomly dark blue in certain parts. It is only during day games and this was the issue last year with the lighting. You can definitely see it during the scene from behind the ump when he raises his arm to call a strike, looks horrible. I hope this is from an earlier build and it has been solved.

Yeah, I am in the same boat as you guys. I did get to see updates on some of the stadiums, but for the most part I won't know what made the cut until release. Unless, the particular artists reply directly to me with updates.

They would basically change every day/build so I would have to check them out individually.

Like I said, I really let them know that PNC was not up to snuff, so I know they were working to get something done for the Pirates fans. Busch and O.co were others I really pushed for.

Hopefully they can work some magic and surprise us all.

                              LOL.

Actually I have no idea what build these clips are from, and they are probably a mix of different builds. Rule of thumb is videos are usually done 3 weeks before release. That would take us to before CD.

I did look into that and the issue was that the wall and letter art (boxes) were 2 separate entities... they should have been a dark blue background (wall) with white letters (no boxes).

Ha! The Slap. So there is still this lingering issue from last year? I think you may be talking about the home of the atlanta braves sign behind home plate. I was refering to the dark blue boxes that are randomly on the outfield wall during day games, you can see it at 2:27. Any chance that this can be sent off to the developers?
