Re: PS3 to PS4 Transition: What to Expect?
No I didn't say that what I will say is MVP 2005 has more features n has more weather effects and to me has better hit variety then the show has now. The SHOW has it beat in Graphics but to me that's it.Comment

Re: PS3 to PS4 Transition: What to Expect?
Expansion mode ,Create a stadium ,weather effects and more n more stats which I know is not a feature per se but non the less the PS2 and the xbox were able to render these features without the sexy graphics but I would take the gameplay of any games before this gen.
P.S. I Would love a hybrid of MVP and The Show would be perfect game would jus have to up date rosters each year but we both know we will never see that cause companies don't make money that way .Last edited by OUSOONERS#1; 02-09-2013, 12:03 AM.Comment

You sure we're talking about the same MVP 05 and MLB 13 The Show here? It's your opinion and I respect that, but

Re: PS3 to PS4 Transition: What to Expect?
I still play MVP with updated rosters on my pc and the gameplay is better to me don't get me wrong I like the Show jus as much one thing the Show has is RTTS which that game didn't.
P.S. No im not about EA either I think that company is proubaly the worst of the bunch that monopolize the consumer Madden on this gen of consoles has been horrific.Last edited by OUSOONERS#1; 02-09-2013, 12:23 AM.Comment

I disagree with MVP. SUCH an overrated game....especially on consoles in which you seem to be comparing here.
But you're also assuming that the devs said...
What do we do...?
Expansion mode...create a stadium(which was NEVER going to be on the board...but you guys just seem to be ignoring that fact every time it's stated) or graphics?....
It didn't happen that way. Plain and simple.
You're making some big leap assumptions here and I'm sorry to tell you they are just flat out wrong.

I play MVP on PC with modded rosters n graphics n I never said they said it is was gonna be in there game they choose not to put those things in which is there right there game make it the way they want but in my honest opinion if they had any competiton like they did when MVP was around they would add more features cause they wasn't the top selling game or top rated game then MVP was n to me only thing they have beat in 8 years later is graphics but its jus one mans opinion n we are all entitled to them on this site or any site for that matter.Comment

Re: PS3 to PS4 Transition: What to Expect?
I'm going on a limb here, since I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure they put in everything they possibly could in one development cycle, and then some more just for us on here. Competition breeds new ideas and is great for everyone, but I don't believe for a second that SCEA is becoming complacent just because there is nobody else making relatively competitive games.I play MVP on PC with modded rosters n graphics n I never said they said it is was gonna be in there game they choose not to put those things in which is there right there game make it the way they want but in my honest opinion if they had any competiton like they did when MVP was around they would add more features cause they wasn't the top selling game or top rated game then MVP was n to me only thing they have beat in 8 years later is graphics but its jus one mans opinion n we are all entitled to them on this site or any site for that matter."Life is like baseball, it's the number of times you arrive home safely that counts"Comment

Im not saying they haven't done anything to there games each year either cause they have came along way from where they were at on the pS2 total transformation not saying they are complacent and I don't know what concessions they have made bc of graphics either I jus know most gamers would rather have graphics over gameplay and features n companies of this gen of consoles have given in to that type of consumer .Comment

Re: PS3 to PS4 Transition: What to Expect?
I just wanted to point out....I wasn't saying you were wrong(or right) about MVP....as it is, as you stated...opinion.
I just mean in terms of graphical upgrades hindering features added.
They are totally separate.

Re: PS3 to PS4 Transition: What to Expect?
As much as I love the show, I am starting to get bored with it as they are tweaking areas that appeal more to the masses and I understand that.
Knowing it is missing real world sim features such as rain delays, cancellations, double headers is what bothers me especially since another game in the past did it extemely well. Plus, we went this entire generation without it which has been a complete disappointment for the real die hard sim guys. Yes, make it an option for us who want it!!!
So before anyone comes in saying that don't want it...........read the option part one more time. I need more strategy and want to follow along just like my real baseball team.

I don't agree with that.

Re: PS3 to PS4 Transition: What to Expect?
I expect playable Single A ball, with (relativity) unlimited space for minor league rosters.
Green grass sooo green you could sell it in a bag on the corner.
Editable (not edible, damn you auto-correct!) managers & coaches.
I figure there will also be a couple more player attributes added, though I can't
decide what might be added, intangibles/instincts? jumping, for outfielders?
This is what excites me the most.Comment
