This is important to me because I want to start my franchise soon without having to start a new one in order to get a more realistic experience. Thanks.
CPU Roster Control disables trades & injuries.

With 30 team control, if you don't like a trade thats being proposed you can view the pending transactions and reject it.

Can anyone tell me the changes in difficulties/pitch speed between 12 and 13?

Hitting generally got more accessible. You won't be tied up as much, not necessarily because the pitch speed is much slower, but the way the hitting timing window has been adjusted, you have a bit more time to judge pitches.

Just had a chance to change my pitching difficulty from all star to hall of fame. if one had to guess how much does each slider setting increase when going from one difficulty to the next(for example cpu contact). i ask this because when i played on all star i increased cpu contact by one notch in order for them to get better plate discipline and contact ability. now that i'm on HOF difficulty i adjusted cpu contact back to normal. on which setting would cpu contact be greater (all star with contact increased by one notch, or HOF with contact set to standard).

I have noticed it is quite a bit easier to pull inside pitches this year. I was just wondering what difficulty in 13, is closer to All-Star of 12?

I played 12 right up until I bought 13, and I feel kinda lost at the plate. Pitches are a lot more difficult to pick up this year, and seem very slow and floaty.

Im just wondering maybe a higher difficulty will give me a closer experience to last year?

Unless devs chime in, nobody knows for sure... If you are talking about HUM Contact, then there actually is a way to guess from the PCI size... just change the setting to show PCI all the time, and see how the PCI size changes depending on the difficulty and Contact slider setting, using the same hitter against the same pitcher (because the size depends on the match up). Still, that only gives you some idea about the PCI size, and not about other changes.

Indeed, the best timing point used to vary a lot based on pitch location (need to swing early on high-in, late on low outside), but it has been much flatted in 13. That's one of the major adjustments. In turn, turning to inside pitches has become easier this year.

I would think HoF in 13 is closer to AS in 12... but it's not so clear cut.

Some people just increase the Pitch Speed slider and that works for them. Or decrease the Timing slider.... both to counterbalance the adjusted timing window... depends on how you feel.

In franchise, do pitchers develop pitches by themselves or do I have to add them manually? I have a young B rated SP with 3 pitches. Will he develop a 4th on his own?

You have to add it yourself.

Can anyone give me a good way to make the most realistic franchise possible? I don't want the computer to make silly trades and I want to be able to control the lineups for the teams I play.

I used all my free preorder rtts show points on a guy I made for rtts. Is there any way I can take them back and use them on a different guy?

Yes, that's the only way I know it will happen. Remember, this is just a video game.

I'm assuming the answer is no but is there any way to edit the left handed pitching meter to face the same direction as the right handed meter. Its just so tough getting proper timing with a lefty reliever after using righty pitching the entire time.

This is almost the same as asking the cashier at McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) to get you another Big Mac after already eating one and paid just for one... the answer is no.
