Not sure were else to post to get a response. I thought Q & A would be the correct place.

You cannot sign them mid season(hoping for this in '14...big time)

But you do have a 5 day window in the off season to sign your own upcoming FA's(every team has that window) before they become FA's officially available to every team.

The draft is 5 rounds(plus supplemental rounds)

Is that for every player age 35 or older? Also when during the offseason does the rating decline. I have a player age 36 who will be a free agent and I would like the know before offering him a contract if his rating will take a massive hit.

Situation: I just took the lead in the bottom of the 8th with two outs. I had two relievers warming up but now I want my closer, so I asked him to get ready. Because there are two outs, there is obviously not a lot of time for him to get limber. If I do things such as bring in a pinch hitter and ask for time as the batter, does that buy a little extra time for my closer or doesn't the game recognise that?

How do you control velocity with pulse pitching? Or is it not possible?

Anyway, I'm in season 2 in my franchise, and playing my Opening Day game. Or at least trying to play it.

Things is, when I hit a home run the game freezes. Happened to me twice in a row now. When the game cuts from the actual gameplay action into the cut scenes from the bench or the batter running the bases, BAM! Everything stops and I have to shut down my system.

Could it be a problem with the game? Never had this happen in season one, and the next step is trying to clean my PS3 in case there's too much dust etc and it's causing it to overheat.
Try shutting off the cutscenes/celebrations for that 1St game. :screwy:
See if it will bypass the problem

In my franchise, I haven't seen any injuries 20 or so games into the season. I have injuries on and have seen no in game injuries or injuries on other team's disabled list.

                  Help with this?

I had something similar happen but my guys weren't even 35 or over.

I had a reliever who was 33, and his stamina went from like 15-20 to 3.
I had a SP who was only 28, and his overall went from 92 to 83 during the season....

I think it has something to do with the inflated stats, cause the better the batters get, the worse the pitchers get.

                    Also:
How would people recommend me using AA in franchise? I don't like having guys in A ball(since there's no actual team in this game for that) so my roster usually only has 75/90 spots filled.

But it then leaves me to having guys in 40s and 50s overall playing in AA ball(I've had some of the worst teams in the league at AA level based on overall rating, though all these guys are either A or B potentials in their early 20s).

Would I be better off just having these guys(meaning the early 20 year olds, 40-50 overall guys) in A ball and just adding useless fillers to my AA roster(for the sake of having a complete roster) or should I just continue on with my current strategy?

Or does this matter at all in terms of overall progression? If I have a 20 year old,45 overall guy in AA level with A potential, will his overall increase be any diff compared to if he was just in A ball?

Since players in the minors don't play in season mode, am I correct in assuming they will not progress or regress?

Is there anyway to turn off that weird smoke affect around all of the little boxes that come up with player info, score of the game, beginning etc?

Do catchers not turn their helmets around after a victory in this years version? Both of my catchers on the Angels have no helmets on after I win.

Sorry if these have been answered.

What are the requirements to be able to see the manager walk out from the dugout to take the ball from my pitcher and have the crowd cheer him and have the pitcher acknowledge it? Seems like I will only allow one or 2 runs at home in 8 innings or so and my reliever just comes in with no pitching change animation.
