Thanks for the heads up. But I played all day Friday, part of Saturday & Sunday no stuttering, again lots of games so if was going to happen it would of happened before now ( it's been 11 days for me playing every day ) . My worry is that they fix this with a patch and then I start having the problem when I didn't have it before. I don't know if that is possible but a concern.

I, like you had the game early. 1st of march I think it was.

Like you I hadn't had an issue until a night ago where I saw it once. I hadn't seen it for a few days then I have had it again today.

Granted its not as much as others but I've definately experienced it. I wouldn't count your chickens just yet.

I'm unconvinced this is even an issue in the sense people are suggesting. 12 did the exact same thing in my experience. It's just the PS3 chugging. dealwithit.gif

I also had the same stuttering in 12, though just a few times a game at most, and some games not at all. This year, in 13, I haven't had it happen once. The only thing is I haven't gotten to regular season franchise games, just spring training. There was no problem in Play Now and I don't think it happened last year in that mode either. The real test for me is what happens when I get into regular season games of my franchise. If I don't have it then, I'll be very happy!

Well it's chugging at the exact same point every time: right as the ball is being released from the pitcher's hand. So it's not random chugging at all. It's a deficiency in the code.

And it picked the exact wrong time to happen, too. Right during the release, LOL. The only way it could be worse is if it happened right before the ball crossed the plate.

I'm hoping that if we turn off some random stuff it'll go away. Apparently no one has figured out the silver bullet though. (Or maybe I missed it?)

This stuttering issue is REALLY something that should have been addressed already. I don't think they played games online because this should have been caught. It's happening virtually every single game. I'm dissapointed that they haven't come out and at least given word that they recognize this as an issue and that they are working on fixing it.

They are working on it and they have addressed it as far as that is concerned. It has been voted on in the bug thread and they are doing what they do. Code that is as complex as a Sports game, plus all the variables that need to be studied with PS3s and such, will take a minimum 3-4 week turnaround imho--because console patching blows--to get it fully patched out or playing better. Now they started working on this a week ago or something like that. If they can get something out quicker then they are good people. Besides the uniform dudes. I kid I kid.

never had a problem with 12 and below, only 13 I've had this problem.

Now that I think about it, it did happen occasionally in 12, but it was no where near as frequent as 13.

How far back was that? lol... I didn't read through the pages, and was just posting out of frustration. I tried playing two games and both games had the stutter crap and I was just annoyed.

I've been really fortunate to not have seen the stutter yet.
If I had been as afflicted as others, I would probably not play any games
until a patch fix, & just do a little roster work instead

Just picked the game up today and didn't notice any stutter in the only game I played. Need to get more games in to see if it shows up. With 12 I did have the occasional stutter before the CPU pitchers release.

Rarely see the stutter on RTTS, but do see it regularly in exhibition mode. I faced Verlander (I was the Padres) and the stutter occured at least once in each at bat. Verlander is tough enough without the stutter. I got all of five hits and struck out 12 times and lost 5-1. Fielder and Infante both took me deep. Good news is, I am waiting until OSFM to arrive in early April and will start my franchise then. I figure I have until then to wait for the stutter to be patched. Until then, I will play RTTS and do exhibition games where I'm not quite as invested. I may be naive but I trust the folks at SCEA and know they will address it as soon as they can.

Bud we understand and SCEA understand that this is a frustrating issue, they cannot give you any clues to why this happening if they don't know why. Game development (especially on the PS3) is not easy as many devs have noted in the past. You can keep bringing up that you paid $60, does not change the fact they did not see the issue in house and were not aware of it till it released. You sound pretty demanding in your previous post to be completely honest and I do agree with him that the entitlement is very wide spread. Put into perspective, you pay 60, SCEA spends thousands on development.

My question is how they could not see this issue in house. It literally took my two minutes to notice the pitching hitch. Two minutes. Did they not put the game into a PS3 and play one game before they said, "yeah. It's good to go." I just don't understand how these issues can make it to retail.
