Thanks a lot! I can't try them right now either but I'll give them a shot

While it is fun to mash everything in sight, I think I'm gonna have to bump it up to all-star for a little more realism. Unless its super easy because I'm in AA and it'll get a little tougher as I move up through the ranks...???
Same here. I've been playing this game for a few years now and the hitting has definitely gotten easier this year. I also had to bump it up to All-Star and I'm starting to see more realistic stats, but we'll see if this changes when I get called up

Funny thing is that I'm hitting almost .500, have homers in 6 straight games and as I'm thinking how easy and unrealistic these numbers are I check the league leaders and see that the #2 guy in the league, behind me, is hitting .465. As a matter of fact the top 9 guys are at .400 or better. When you bumped it up to all-star did you notice everyone with more realistic numbers or just your player?

You can't turn off fielding for catchers. It's the only position other than Pitcher that MUST play the field

Idk. I haven't really been looking at everyone else's stats, but that's some thing I will definitely look into when I get a chance

Created myself in RTTS as a CF, will consider moving to LF as it was my original position IRL.

Was hoping to get drafted by a team in need... boy did I...

Miami snagged me and I am playing for the Jacksonville Suns in AA ball.
I must say, the talent on this team is decent and I am starting to wonder if we are some of the future players that might bring this team back. The only problem is that if all goes as it does for the Marlins - we will all get traded.

              24 Games into 2013...

              .452 AVG
              9 HRs
              15 RBI
              9 SB
              3 CS

I was playing San Diego last night with my RTTS 1st baseman for the Cardinals and I went 6 for 6 this was a first for me. 3 HR's and 3 singles and a total of 8 RBI's. Wow it was a thing of beauty I got the 5 for 5 trophy which was cool. I am really getting in to this new RTTS style the more games I play the better I like it.

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

After a perfect 2nd part of the season in Triple A, I got injured on the last week of the season for 60 days and I never got called up to the Major. Next Season, I start on a tear but 3 weeks later, I have another 60 days injury. I finally managed to come back in July and hit 2 HR on the my first game back. I had to finish the season in Triple A and got called in September. In 2015. I sign an 475,000 contract as an RF starter for the KC Royals. It was a long road but I made it.

The saddest part it that I was the #1 on the leaderboard for the most game played in AAA. when you hit for close to .480 and you are a leader in HR/RBI, I was wondering at time, where was my "Call my agent" option.

                        Moved to Veteran...

Moving up the difficulty and sliders slowly. I am new to The Show and didn't want to get overly frustrated. Going to eventually keep moving it up... I really focus more on Franchise Mode for realism and RTTS to have a bit more selfish 'fun'.

can you only use 6000 pts per player in RTTS? I entered both pre order codes for 12,000 pts -- but only 6000 showed up as available for my current player. I'd like to use them all on the same guy if possible....?

After you apply the first 6,000 points, hit select and go to the store icon and then apply the other 6,000. It will say "Ready to Use".

I feel the minors are probably going to be way easier to hit in than if you were to play in the Majors. In AA I was usually hitting the ball really well because it caught so much of the plate. Now in AAA it doesn't catch the plate as much but still often enough to do well but I count this mostly because in the minors they seem to throw the ball down the middle or around it a little bit too much.
